GOOD MORNING! JUNE 14, 2026 UPDATE:

We will gather this morning at 10AM for our Sunday hybrid worship held in the VFPC Sanctuary and via Zoom (link below). We will continue our season of reflection upon the foundational words of Matthew’s Gospel and the case that Matthew makes for the Way of Jesus as an alternative WAY of living the human experience together in this world. We will hear Jesus’ affirmation at the end of his Sermon on the Mount that his teachings (his Way of living) are trustworthy and true, and that to live by them is like building our lives on rock – enabling us to weather the storms of life and to live with a strength that is a gift to us and to our neighbors. We will be singing together, celebrating the Ordination and Installation of officers, and sharing our faith promises to be people of peace unto each other and all of our neighbors. All are welcome!

GOOD EVENING! WEEKEND UPDATES:

We will gather at 10AM on May 31st for our Sunday hybrid worship held in the VFPC Sanctuary and via Zoom (link below). We will continue our season of reflection upon the foundational words of Matthew’s Gospel and the case that Matthew makes for the Way of Jesus as an alternative WAY of living the human experience together in this world. We will hear Jesus’ teachings from his Sermon on the Mount about the Golden Rule and the Narrow Gate, and in preparation to host the community in our “Proud to Love our Neighbors” event, we will consider how these teachings of Jesus are the foundation of our conviction to love, welcome, and include the LGBTQ community in their fullness and equality of humanity. We will be singing together, naming our prayers in community, and sharing our faith promises to be people of peace unto each other and all of our neighbors. All are welcome!

REMEMBER! We will open our doors, arms, and hearts to the community from 12-2pm for our Proud to Love our Neighbors event. Stick around after worship to welcome, greet, and witness to our community amidst music, activities, and Rib House food (available for purchase).

Also, check out the pictures of the CE Building conversion process! The building is largely demo’ed and prepped to take on its new shape with Framing beginning soon!

GOOD MORNING! SUNDAY 5/24/26 UPDATES:

We will gather at 10AM on May 24th for our PENTECOST SUNDAY hybrid worship held in the VFPC Sanctuary and via Zoom. We will hear Jesus’ promise to his first disciples that God’s Spirit would not only be accessible to all of them, but would remind them of all that he taught as the Spirit led them into living the same kinds of lives that Jesus lived; and, we will also hear the narrative from the book of Acts that recounts that promise coming to fruition and guiding people of every race and tongue into Kingdom lives of love, belonging, sharing communally, and the justice of true peace. We will be singing together, naming our prayers in community, and sharing our faith promises to be people of peace unto each other and all of our neighbors. If you are so compelled (and able), it is a centuries-old tradition of the Church to wear red on Pentecost! All are welcome!

GOOD MORNING! SUNDAY 5/10/26 UPDATES:

We will gather at 10AM on May 10th for our SUNDAY hybrid worship held in the VFPC Sanctuary and via Zoom. We will be hearing Luke’s telling of Jesus sending his disciples out to love and serve their neighbors of different nations and traditions, and also considering the parable he told to help us redefine and expand our understanding of “who is my neighbor.” We will reflect on this word of Jesus through the lens of the story of Carlos Della Valle and consider what that means for us! We will be singing together, celebrating the mothers and all women of love and care among the congregation, and sharing our faith promises to be people of peace unto each other and all of our neighbors. We will also be entering into a brief meeting of the congregation to consider those sisters and brothers nominated to serve as officers of the congregation in the years ahead! All are welcome! We are three clergy, three congregations, and one shared belief that the most important thing we can do right now is to sit down together, get to know each other, listen to one another, and share our experiences.

Introducing Love Thy Neighbor — an interfaith initiative born right here in Upper Merion, between Temple Brith Achim, Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, and Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. We are building what we are calling a Love Revolution — one that starts in our houses of worship and grows outward into every school, every neighborhood, and every corner of this community we all call home.

Our first gathering and dinner is June 6. We want you there!

And watch your inbox — your synagogue or church will be sending you everything you need to sign up.
