Maggie’s Delivery Day! ❤️❤️❤️

Tuesday morning, we headed to Wilmington delivering 22 boxes overflowing with activities and love to Nemours Children's Hospital. We also brought 16 board games to be shared in the common play area, creating a haven for laughter and play. A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to this endeavor, making it a resounding success and bringing smiles to the brave children, offering a welcome distraction from tests and procedures.

The Clothing Penn is currently VERY low on spring and summer clothing and shoes, and the need in our community continues to grow each week. Right now, many of our racks are nearly empty - especially for everyday seasonal essentials.

If you’ve been cleaning out closets or have gently used items you no longer need, now is the perfect time to donate.

We are especially in need of:
👕 Spring & summer clothing
👟 Shoes & sandals
🧒 Kids clothing
👖 Everyday casual wear

🛍 Donation Drop-Off:
Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays
9:00 AM – Noon
During Sunday services at Hope Community Church
or by appointment

Every bag donated makes a direct impact for local families shopping our clothing pantry. Thank you for helping us care for our community with dignity and love! 💛

Almost every time we’re open, we have this exact conversation:

“Do you have diapers?”
“I’m so sorry… we’re out.”

For families already stretched thin, diapers and wipes aren’t optional - they’re essential. And right now, the need is greater than what we have on our shelves.

We’re asking our community to help us change that story!

🧸 Most needed:
• Diapers (especially sizes 4, 5, 6, and pull-ups)
• Baby wipes
• Baby toiletries (wash, lotion, diaper cream)

Every donation means one less “I’m sorry” and one more family supported with dignity and care.

Volunteer Appreciation! Meet Edwar & Magda. They are faithful volunteers at the LWRC. Every Saturday morning they have volunteered for over a year. This week, they will be traveling overseas for a month to visit family for the first time rub several years! We are so very happy for them! We are also going to miss them quite a lot. Please join us in bidding our friends safe travels. We will miss you Edwar & Magda, but are looking forward to hearing all about your amazing trip! Bon voyage!

This is a simple but meaningful way to serve - helping our neighbors feel seen, supported, and cared for.

Volunteer roles include:

✨ Assisting with bagging clothing selections
