We’re taking a little time to recharge! ❤️

Love Works Resource Center is CLOSED THIS WEEK so our incredible volunteers can take some much-needed time to rest, recharge, and spend time with their families.

📅 We will reopen Tuesday, August 25.

🙏 Please hold all donations until August 25. Our donation areas will be closed during this time, and we won’t be able to accept donations until we reopen.

Our volunteers give so much of their time and energy to Love Works, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give them a week to recharge. ❤️

Another Maggie’s delivery! We have some new followers to our page, so allow us to explain…

💗 What are Maggie’s Love Boxes? 💗

Maggie’s Love Boxes is a program created in 2008 to honor the life and legacy of Maggie Lynn Achuff — a “forever four-year-old” whose love continues to inspire acts of kindness.

Through Maggie’s Love Boxes, we provide children in the hospital with boxes filled with activities, comfort items, and little reminders that they are loved. These boxes bring moments of joy, encouragement, and hope to young patients, their siblings, and their families during some of life’s most difficult moments. 💕

But the love doesn’t stop there…

✨ A New Initiative: Love Bundles for Trauma Patients ✨

We have recently been asked by CHOP hospital staff to extend our support to patients arriving in the Emergency Department due to assault, trauma, accidents, or abuse. In many cases, these patients must surrender their clothing, leaving them in an especially vulnerable moment.

Our goal is to provide Love Bundles — comfortable clothing and comforting essentials that help restore dignity and remind patients that they are cared for.

The hospital has specifically asked us to focus on teens and adults, with larger, comfortable sizing.

🛍️ Current Needs (New Items Only):
• Comfy robes (Adult M–2XL)
• Fuzzy blankets (neutral colors)
• T-shirts, long & short sleeve (Adult M–2XL)
• Sweatpants (Adult M–2XL)
• Pajama sets (Adult M–3XL)

Whether you donate an item or contribute financially, you are helping us bring comfort, dignity, and a little bit of love to someone during an incredibly difficult time.

🎉 That's a wrap on last week's Money Matters for Kids! Summer Camp! 🐷💰

We had the BEST week watching our campers (ages 6–10) learn all about saving, budgeting, planning for the future, and even a little community economics — with tons of fun and games along the way! 🎓

A huge thank you to our incredible banking partners for sharing their expertise, and to the amazing families who joined us. We can't wait to do it again next year! 💛

Pasamos la MEJOR semana viendo a nuestros campistas (de 6 a 10 años) aprender sobre cómo ahorrar, hacer un presupuesto, planificar para el futuro e incluso un poco de economía comunitaria, ¡con muchísima diversión y juegos en el camino! 🎓

Maggie’s Delivery Day! ❤️❤️❤️

Tuesday morning, we headed to Wilmington delivering 22 boxes overflowing with activities and love to Nemours Children's Hospital. We also brought 16 board games to be shared in the common play area, creating a haven for laughter and play. A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to this endeavor, making it a resounding success and bringing smiles to the brave children, offering a welcome distraction from tests and procedures.

The Clothing Penn is currently VERY low on spring and summer clothing and shoes, and the need in our community continues to grow each week. Right now, many of our racks are nearly empty - especially for everyday seasonal essentials.

If you’ve been cleaning out closets or have gently used items you no longer need, now is the perfect time to donate.

We are especially in need of:
👕 Spring & summer clothing
👟 Shoes & sandals
🧒 Kids clothing
👖 Everyday casual wear

🛍 Donation Drop-Off:

During Sunday services at Hope Community Church
