The team at Crossroads Mission Center would like to thank the community for allowing us to serve you. While our doors have closed, we hope the light of Christ will continue to shine through the actions we demonstrated and the friendships we developed. We appreciate all of those who volunteered their time and resources to help us with this ministry. We could not have done it without you. May God bless each and every one of you and may the light of Christ continue to shine upon you.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

This is a difficult time for many in our community and around the world. Some folks struggle with the separation from others, as we're created to be in community with one another. Others struggle with the unknown, financial uncertainty and future joblessness.

These are real and valid feelings in a time as this.

But it is also evident that God is at work around us as we witness people coming together to help provide food and medical supplies. We are witnessing, even in this time of social distancing, new friendships and bonds being created. And we are experiencing an opportunity to slow down and ponder the values of which we place on our lives and relationships.

As we all wrestle with our different challenges in this time, may we learn to lean on one another, and be witnesses and participants to God's love in action around us!

Be safe!

Thank you to all the volunteers and churches that helped provide, pack and deliver 2,928 meals to 183 children in King William. Our thanks goes out to Thrive Virginia, Indian View Baptist Church, Epworh UMC, Bethel UMC, Warsaw UMC, and our many other volunteers and community partners.

If school closings persist, we will rally again to help meet the food needs of our county's children. Stay tuned on how you might help be a blessing!

Consumers that are a member of the King William Summer food program with Crossroads Mission center/Thrive expect a phone call this week. We will be dropping off a package Saturday earlier than we usually do for the summer months. We will drop and go. Though we have built beautiful relationships and enjoy our chats due to covid19 we will refrain from chats and resort to hand waves from the car. God bless you and keep healthy and safe.
Love, CMC
