John 7:53
[53] They went each to his own house,
John 8:1-11
[1] but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. [2] Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them. [3] The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst [4] they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. [5] Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” [6] This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. [7] And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” [8] And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. [9] But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. [10] Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” [11] She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”

This past Sunday we were honored to have Rev. Fakhri Yacoub, pastor of the Christian Arabic Church of Richmond minister to JCC. He reminded us that we are to witness to all types of people from all walks of life in the name of Jesus. He brought Fathi Zidi with him who was raised as a Muslim in Tunisia who shared a very interesting and heartfelt testimony in our adult education class on how he found and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Mr. Zidi spoke in Arabic and Rev. Yacoub translated as he told his account. We are honored to be connected to so many ministries in our region that are serving the Kingdom of God.

Hebrews 1:1-4

[1] Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, [2] but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. [3] He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, [4] having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

We want to thank Dave and Marilyn Watkins, Bill Hodges, and Pastor Joshua for staffing our church booth at the King William Heritage Festival. Pastor Joshua was asked to close the festivities in a prayer of blessing over the community.

We’re so grateful for Randy and Dawn Shank ministering to us during our annual women’s day service. Our women’s ministry has given to King William Emergency Ministries for decades, a ministry that Randy leads. KWEM provides financial support to needy families in our community.
