Campaign for the Preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua

Campaign for the Preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua Welcome to the Campaign for the Preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua. Together, we will Save a Timeless Treasure!

The Campaign for the Preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua Foundation was formed in 2010 to fund the retrofit repair and the preservation of the structural integrity of the historic and beloved Mission. Please help us in saving the beautiful Mission San Antonio by making a donation to upgrade its buildings to meet modern earthquake standards, thereby increasing safety and guaranteeing the m

ission will remain a sacred space for future generations. Without adequate funding for proper retrofitting, the historic mission faces certain closure, a tragic loss for California. Mission San Antonio implores the community – history buffs, naturalists, artists, soul searchers, architects and every former fourth grader who found knowledge and peace at Mission San Antonio – to participate in this worthwhile cause.

This month local artist Max Randolph Studios installed a custom 12-foot-tall sculpture of a great oak tree in the historic courtyard of Mission San Antonio de Padua. The Mission commissioned Randolph to build the sculpture in honor of the many donors who donated to support the Mission’s recent retrofit. The copper leaves are hand-stamped with individual donor names. The sculpture not only honors significant financial donors, but also the three divisions of the Salinan Tribe, inscribed on the three tree branches of the tree.
