“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Jesus’ resurrection is of “first importance” to the people of God and to all the world. Why? It’s not just that Jesus rose, but that in rising, Jesus paved the way for us to rise as well. The great promise of Jesus’ resurrection is that we too can hope to rise from the grave and join our Lord in an eternal heavenly kingdom.
This Sunday we’ll be talking about what the resurrection means to us today. How strong is my own hope in the resurrection? And how important is it to me that not only will Jesus come again, but that he could come today? Does that thought fill me with joy? Fear? Indifference?
Join us with your bibles at 9 a.m. and again at 10 a.m. as we study the gospel of Jesus Christ and our living hope in him!
“Even so, come Lord Jesus.”
