And maybe that is why discernment can feel heavy.
Because it teaches you to pause before reacting.
To pray before speaking.
To choose grace even when you notice things others may not.
Sometimes God allows you to see beyond the surface not so you can judge others, but so you can love them better.
There are moments when you hear the same words everyone hears, but God invites you to look deeper with compassion, wisdom, and prayer.
Discernment is not about knowing more than others.
It is about allowing God to shape your hearts so you can respond more like Christ.
It is not a gift meant to make you feel superior, but a gift that calls you to greater humility, patience, and love.
And sometimes, discernment also teaches you that love can come with boundaries.
There are moments when God reveals things not so you can hold bitterness, but so you can walk with wisdom.
Sometimes, protecting your peace and your calling means creating healthy boundaries not out of anger or pride, but out of obedience and stewardship of what God entrusted to you.
Not everyone can understand this gift.
If God has blessed you with this gift, may you use it wisely. May you ask Him to purify your hearts so that what you see will always lead you to compassion, not judgment.
And for those who desire this gift, pray for it….not simply to understand what is hidden, but to recognize God’s voice,
follow His wisdom,
and love people the way He does.
Sometimes the most faithful response is to stay quiet, keep loving, pray from afar, and place everything in God’s hands.
Because only He sees the whole picture.
