Hearts 4 Worship is the women's outreach ministry of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Winona, MS. We use our resources to provide for the needs of others.

Hearts 4 Worship is a women's ministry that reaches out to women in the name of Jesus through our women's conferences. Contact us if your church would like to host a women's conference or get involved in this ministry.

The ways of this world are evil. If we submit ourselves to God, and resist the devil, he will flee from us. However, if we do not submit ourselves to God, then we cannot resist the devil on our own. We might think that we can withstand the devil on our own, but without God we are helpless in our efforts. God will fight our battles with the devil if we let Him. If you are struggling with the devil, turn to God and seek Him for deliverance.

Dear Heavenly Father, Help me resist the devil and submit myself completely to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

This verse reminded me of the lyrics of a hymn. "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness....On Christ the solid rock I stand...." Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and without faith we have no hope. Faith is also the evidence of things of things not seen. Our faith allows us to believe in what we cannot see based on our trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Can you even imagine what your life would be like without Jesus?

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for sending Jesus to earth to become our Lord and Savior because I cannot even imagine what my life would be like without Him. Thank You for giving us our faith so that we can face tomorrow. Thank You for Your love, grace, and mercy for the times when we stumble and fall. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Are you praying for Israel? We should never remain oblivious to the destruction of God's people. Instead we should take a bold stand for them. We should never seek our own good, but we should seek the good of others, especially God's chosen people. We should never side against Israel, or we may experience the wrath of God ourselves.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know that Your heart is grieved by the destruction of Your people. Let us boldly take a stand for Israel and profess our faith in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.

When we think about gardening, we typically think about planting in the spring and harvesting in the fall. But, what about pruning? There are times when trees, bushes, and vines need to be pruned in order to produce more fruit because they have stopped producing. As children of God, we can become unproductive and need for God to prune us as well so we can once again be productive for His kingdom. So how about you? What season are you in? Do you need to be pruned to become more productive for God?
Dear Heavenly Father, Help me become more productive for Your kingdom. Remove the areas that are unproductive. Allow me to bloom where I have been planted. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

There is ONLY ONE who is blameless, and without Him we would be nothing! Only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ can we walk blameless. Only by the grace and mercy of our Lord have we been blessed beyond measure.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for allowing Your Son, Jesus, to die for us. Thank You for blessing us beyond measure. Forgive us where we have failed You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.

Today's society does not teach us to be content with what we have. Instead it teaches us that we always need more or we need the next best thing that everyone else has. But, God's word says that we should be content with the food and clothing that we have because we did not bring anything into this world nor can we take anything out with us.
Therefore, we need to learn to be content with what we have and bloom where we are planted. As you get older or maybe become more mature as a Christian, I think that this becomes easier to do.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for all that You have given us. Help us to be content with what we have and let us use what we have for Your honor and glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

I love the old hymns, but I love contemporary Christian music even more. Music has a way of reaching into our souls and soothing our hearts. God has used lyrics of gospel songs to reach the brokenhearted as well as the lost. We can sing gospel songs as a way of praising the Lord and sharing the gospel. So let us all rejoice and praise His Holy Name!
Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You for being the Lord of my life. I thank You for Your Son, Jesus, who died for me. I can never repay You for the gift of salvation, but I can worship You for the rest of my life and proclaim Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

We are God's handiwork because we have been created by Him. We have been created in the image of God to do good works which God has prepared in advance for us to do. We are to follow the will of God and live like Jesus. What a difference there would be if everyone lived like Jesus!
Dear Heavenly Father, Help me to be a light in this world and live like Jesus every day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Are you ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? I'm not ashamed to say that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. However, as I was scrolling through Facebook, I came across an advertisement about a devotional book from Lifeway based on the life of Jesus. Then the comment section caught my eye. There were people speaking out against God our Father, Jesus Christ, and the Bible. It was deplorable. But, ONE DAY every knee will bow to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! However, it will sadly be too late for those with such hatred in their hearts. That's why it is so important for us to live what we believe while they still have a chance to change their minds and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, too.

Dear Heavenly Father, Let my words and my actions point unbelievers toward You. Let my life be a living and breathing testimony for You. Use me to lead others to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Have you ever had God give you a verse of Scripture during a particular time in your life? Or, have you read a verse that God has used to speak specifically to you? I like the term "life verse" to represent these verses because they help me live my life for Jesus. Proverbs 3:5-6 is a passage of Scripture that has become a life verse for me, and I have committed it to memory. This passage meant so much to me when I was preparing to retire from the public school system. I did not know what my future held, but I did know who held my future. So I trusted God to direct my paths, and He did.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for continuing to direct my paths even now. I trust You with all my heart. Help me to not lean on my own understanding but in all my ways to acknowledge You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

As believers the only pride that we have is that we are children of the most High God. However, those who take pride in their own riches have nothing to take pride in because one day it will all pass away. The only thing that we can take with us when we close our eyes in death is our soul. If we belong to the Father, then we will spend eternity in heaven with Him. For those who do not belong to Him, they will pass away with nothing but eternal separation from God. Which one do you choose?

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for the unbelievers that have yet to make a decision to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I ask You to give us opportunities to reach out to them and lift up Your name. Let our lives be a living testimony for You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.

From God, our Heavenly Father, the world was created, and from Him all things came to be. We live for Him. There is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom we have eternal life, our salvation, and a direct line to the Father. We live as children of God through Him. He is the ONLY way to the Father and eternal life in heaven.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You again for the life that You have given us. Thank You for Your Son whom You allowed to be a sacrifice for us. Thank You for Your plan of salvation to save us even though we do not deserve it. Thank You for loving us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
