Wow! Thanks to all of you who have liked, followed, and shared our Kilmichael Friendship Cemetery page! We asked for you to join our efforts to spread the word, to connect, to stay in touch and to update the family and friends of those buried here. 🙌🏼🙌🏼You did just that!🙌🏼🙌🏼 We now have 132 followers, 32 shares, new friends and supporters, and generous donations that continue to provide for a peaceful well maintained resting place. We are so grateful!🤩

Not only has the support for the cemetery grown, but so has the grass with the many rain showers. The upkeep is a hot and tough job. We are grateful for the dedication of the Sledge family for many years of upkeep and service to the cemetery. We are now fortunate to entrust Country Lawn Services with the groundskeeping.

The Kilmichael Friendship Cemetery volunteer board members want to connect, to stay in touch, to share updates, and to seek the support of family and friends of those buried here. We asks that you join our efforts in sharing this page and the information to follow with anyone who may have ties to Kilmichael and the cemetery. It is our goal to continue to provide a peaceful well-maintained resting place that honors the memories of the past, serves the present and preserves the future. In order to do this, we rely on you to meet the uprising financial obligations of keeping the grounds well-manicured and preserved, as expected. We depend totally and solely on donations and lot sales with only the interest from the perpetual care fund, as no funding or maintenance is provided by the town of Kilmichael.

As of May 14, 2026, our operating cash on hand balance is $11,915.47 with an annual lowest bid for the upkeep cost at $9600.00. Without your help and donations, the future upkeep, as in the past, won’t be afforded.
