What a beautiful Children’s Sunday we shared together!

From the laughter of little ones and the squeak of the swing set, the day was filled with simple joys and meaningful connections. Following worship, we gathered around picnic tables to enjoy good food, great conversation, and the gift of being together. From the potato salad to the cupcakes, every dish was shared with love, and every seat seemed filled with friendship.

What was meant to be a simple picnic stretched well beyond the noon hour as conversations continued, children played, and neighbors became friends. These are the moments that remind us that church is more than a building—it is a community where all generations belong.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. Our hearts are full, and we are grateful for the fellowship, friendship, and joyful spirit that made this Children’s Sunday one to remember.

Did you know the Estuary Council of Old Saybrook hosts a Senior Lunch at the The Congregational Church in Killingworth every Wednesday? A hot and nutritious lunch and great conversation... Call 860-388-1611 x 216 to make a reservation the Tuesday before the lunch Wednesday you wish to have lunch. Park on the North Side of the church to access the ramp entry.

Do you want to give back? Do you want your kids to learn the value of helping others? Join us!

The Congregational Church in Killingworth is proud to contiously support Eddy House Shelter by providing meals and collecting much-needed supplies for those experiencing homelessness in our community.

This is a wonderful opportunity for families to serve together. Children learn compassion, generosity, and the importance of caring for their neighbors when they help prepare donations, collect supplies, or assist with meal deliveries.

We welcome donations of desserts, breads, and simple side dishes for our monthly meals. We are also always in need of twin sheets, comforters, blankets, bottled water, and grab-and-go snacks such as protein bars, granola bars, fruit cups, nuts, and cheese sticks.

Join us on the Second and Fourth Tuesday of each month as we work together to make a difference—one small act of kindness at a time.
