Meet Rev. Deon Collins, Historian of the TED E-Board! Currently serving as Pastor of Mount Pilgrim AMEC in the Texas Conference, Rev. Collins brings a unique blend of professional expertise, pastoral leadership, and a passion for connecting people to purpose.

A Laboratory Manager in the oil and gas industry specializing in pipeline performance, Rev. Collins understands the importance of building strong systems that foster growth and sustainability—skills that translate seamlessly into his ministry and leadership.

Originally a member of Anderson Chapel AMEC in the Northwest Texas Conference, Rev. Collins has continued to answer God’s call through his pastoral appointment at Mount Pilgrim AMEC in the Texas Conference. His journey reflects a deep commitment to serving wherever God leads and helping strengthen the connectional church.

What excites him most about the work ahead is seeing young adults become more engaged, connected, and active throughout the 10th Episcopal District. He believes the growth and interaction of young adults will help shape a stronger future for both the district and the church.

And here’s a fun fact—during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rev. Collins learned how to knit! 🧶

We are grateful for leaders like Rev. Collins who help preserve our history while investing in our future. Through his leadership, dedication, and passion for ministry, he helps ensure that the story of RAYAC continues to be written for generations to come.

Meet Gordon M. Rodgers II, Public Relations Chair of the TED E-Board! Representing St. James AMEC in San Antonio within the Southwest Texas Conference, Gordon brings creativity, vision, and an undeniable passion for connecting people through ministry and media.

A gifted Beauty Stylist and Makeup Artist, Gordon has built a career in the beauty industry centered around helping others recognize the beauty that exists both inwardly and outwardly. Through his God-given gift of makeup artistry, he uses beauty not simply as enhancement, but as a form of empowerment, confidence-building, and service to others. His passion for uplifting people shines through every interaction, making his work both transformative and deeply meaningful.

Gordon also previously served as the 10th Episcopal District YPD President, where his leadership and dedication to young people helped cultivate connection, growth, and renewed energy throughout the district.

He is excited to help rebuild and strengthen the presence of youth and young adults within the 10th Episcopal District, while helping make the district an example across the Connection of how ministry can evolve, grow, and come back stronger than ever before.

And fun fact—you may have already seen him around San Antonio! Gordon is featured on an Anti-Racism mural that honors Black men from all walks of life. ✨

Meet Rev. Sean J. Nickelberry, Secretary of the TED E-Board! Representing Allen Chapel AMEC in Bryan, Texas within the North Texas Conference, Rev. Nickelberry brings a remarkable depth of leadership, organization, and visionary service to this work.

Beyond serving as a Pastor, his commitment to the church is evidenced through an extensive record of impactful leadership: Vice Chair of the North Texas Annual Conference Trustees, Dean of the North Texas Annual Conference Board of Examiners, Annual Conference Secretary, Co-Chair of the 10th Episcopal District Disaster Relief and Preparedness Committee, 10th Episcopal District Media, Communications, Outreach, and Technology Team Lead, Abington School of Religion Board Member, Tyler District Financial Secretary, and Former Educator/Administrator.

Rev. Nickelberry is excited about helping officially launch RAYAC in the 10th Episcopal District and strongly believes that young adults are not simply the future of the church—we are the church right now. His passion for growth, change, and forward movement makes him an instrumental force in shaping what’s next.

Fun fact—he’s a fraternal twin, the oldest by 21 minutes, loves fishing, but doesn’t eat seafood! 🎣

Meet Rev. Miesha Medford, Chaplain of the TED E-Board! Representing St. Paul AMEC in Dallas within the North Texas Conference, she brings a servant’s heart, dynamic leadership, and a deep passion for ministry and serving God’s people in every space she occupies.

As a 7th Grade Assistant Principal, Rev. Medford leads with compassion, wisdom, and the ability to uplift and guide others—qualities that make her an invaluable spiritual leader for the work ahead.

She is most excited about ensuring that the presence and voice of young adults are felt throughout the 10th Episcopal District and across the Connectional AME Church, boldly declaring that this is indeed OUR TIME TO SHINE ✨

And fun fact—before inspiring in ministry, she wore another crown! In 2008, she was crowned Mrs. Texas Plus America. 👑

Meet Chanel Singleton, Treasurer of the TED E-Board! Representing Sherman AMEC in San Antonio within the Southwest Texas Conference, she brings a wealth of knowledge and precision through her work in Financial Regulatory Operations & Compliance, along with her experience as a small business owner.

Her leadership journey includes serving as the former Southwest Texas Conference YPD President, and she currently continues her impact as the Recording Secretary for the San Antonio District Lay Organization—demonstrating a true commitment to service and excellence across the connection.

Chanel is most excited about working closely with like-minded, like-aged Christian leaders to build meaningful connections and advance the work ahead.

Fun fact—she loves dogs… even though she’s never owned one! 🐶

Meet Dezreon Green, Vice President of the TED E-Board! Representing Payne Chapel AMEC in the Texas Conference, he brings a heart for service and a passion for uplifting others through his work as a Behavioral Interventionist with Alief ISD.

Dezreon is excited about creating space for young adults to have a voice and play an active role in building the 10th District RAYAC. His vision reminds us that just because we may age out of one space doesn’t mean our impact or connection to ministry has to end.

And a fun fact—his leadership extends beyond the church as well… he coaches across 4 different sports! 🏆

Serving with excellence through Greater Garth Chapel AMEC in Dallas and the North Texas Conference, she brings a powerful blend of higher education expertise and community leadership to the table.

Her impactful service as Connectional YPD 1st Vice President and Conference YPD Director has uniquely equipped her with the vision, experience, and heart to lead the TED RAYAC with purpose and excellence.

Rev. Tyson is most excited about empowering young adults across Texas to mobilize, innovate, and make meaningful impact in ministry that’s already in motion. We’re honored to be led by vision, passion, and purpose.
