Talofa, Greetings,
The Bible reminds us in Hebrews 9:27, “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” One day, every one of us will stand before God. Death is not the end of our story — it is the beginning of eternity. No amount of money, success, religion, or good deeds can cancel that appointment.
In Luke 16, Jesus spoke about two men who died. One entered into comfort, while the other found himself in torment. Jesus was giving a serious warning about eternity. One man trusted in God, and the other rejected Him. Their choices on earth carried into eternity.
Today, many people joke about Heaven and ignore the reality of Hell. Some believe there will be no judgment at all. But the moment life ends, eternity becomes real. The rich man in Hell realized the truth too late. He remembered his life, he felt the suffering, and he wished for another chance — but there was no way back.
But this is why the Gospel is such good news. Jesus Christ came to save us before it is too late. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day so that we could have eternal life through Him.
Don’t wait until tomorrow to seek God. We are not promised another day. Today is the day to repent, turn to Christ, and place your faith in Him. Heaven is real. Hell is real. Eternity is forever. The question is not if we will live forever — the question is where.
