Happy Father’s Day to the men who coach the game and mentor the soul!

Across Heart of Texas West: from Killeen and Harker Heights to Lampasas, Lometa, and Copperas Cove: we are truly BLESSED. We see fathers and coaches daily who do more than just call plays; they build authentic, faith-centered relationships that show student-athletes what it means to be a man of God.

Whether you’re in the stands at Ft. Hood or leading a Huddle, your influence creates a legacy of integrity and excellence. We are so proud of the faith movement growing in our schools because of your leadership!

BADGER NATION STAYS STRONG!

There is something truly special about the spirit of a Lampasas Badger. It’s a relentless determination that doesn't quit when the game gets tough or the training feels long. We are so incredibly proud of the grit we see in our athletes and coaches every single day! It is such a blessing to watch this community grow in strength, character, and faith.

In sports and in life, the road isn’t always easy, but we know that with heart and perseverance, there is nothing you can’t overcome. To every athlete in Lampasas: keep pushing, keep leading with integrity, and keep your eyes on the prize. You have a whole community behind you, cheering for your success and lifting you up in prayer!

Developing the HEART OF A LEADER starts long before the bright lights of Friday night!

We believe that our middle school athletes in Killeen and Lampasas are the next generation of world-changers. Summer is the perfect time to build that internal discipline and character that defines a true leader. It’s about the work put in when the stands are empty and the only audience is God.

"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." : 1 Timothy 4:12

We are so blessed to watch these young men and women grow in their faith and their sport. Character isn't built overnight; it’s forged in the daily choice to serve others and lead with integrity.

Let’s continue to pour into these students and encourage them to lead with excellence both on and off the court. Our community is stronger when we stand behind our youth!

CHASING EXCELLENCE FOR AN AUDIENCE OF ONE!

Whether you’re on the field in Killeen, coaching a team in Harker Heights, or cheering from the stands in Lampasas, we all know that drive to be the best. We want to win, we want to excel, and we want to leave everything on the court! But as followers of Christ, we have a higher calling that balances that competitive fire with true humility.

Excellence isn't about being better than everyone else just to be seen. It's about giving our absolute best because of Who we represent. When we play for an Audience of One, our motivation shifts from seeking personal glory to honoring the Lord with the talents He’s blessed us with. It's about that passion for leadership and serving others while we compete.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." : Colossians 3:23

We are so proud of our student-athletes and coaches who are making an impact for the Kingdom. Let’s continue to support this movement and lift up our local sports community as they strive for excellence!

VICTORY BOWL 2026 WAS ONE FOR THE BOOKS! 🏆

As many of you know, this was a massive week for our region, and we are so incredibly BLESSED to have seen over 300 athletes from 100 high schools come together.

The competition was fierce across Waco, Belton, and Fairfield!
🔴 RED TEAM takes the win in Football!
⭐️ Bubba Zacharias (McGregor) named Offensive MVP with 2 TDs!
⚾️ Temple College hosted incredible Baseball & Softball action.
🏀 Hoops were high energy at Fairfield High.

But the real victory happened off the field. Our athletes spent the week in service projects and Huddles, building a legacy of faith and teamwork that will last long after the final whistle.

We are so proud of every coach and athlete who gave their all. This is just the beginning for Heart of Texas West FCA! 🕊️
