This Memorial Day, A Flower on Every Grave, a powerful initiative by Victory For Veterans, is placing a flower on every veteran’s grave as a tribute to their service and sacrifice. This heartfelt tradition not only ensures our fallen heroes are remembered, it also raises funds to support su***de prevention and mental health resources for veterans.

We’re especially excited to support the event at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, May 25, 2026, where volunteers from across the country will come together to spread gratitude and remembrance.

VA's National Cemetery Administration is joining forces with non-profit organizations Carry The Load, Travis Manion Foundation and Victory for Veterans to pay homage to Veterans interred in VA National Cemeteries through a series of events, volunteer opportunities and shared stories.

Memorial Day is coming up fast on May 26, 2025. Join Victory for Veterans, Inc. for the "Flower on Every Grave!" event.

Warriors for Life (WFL) FREE Online Peer Support Program

The Who! WFL is one of two programs that Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV), which is a 501c(3) non-profit, provides to Veterans, First Responders, Caregivers, Service Members, and all of these Warrior's families.

The What! What is Warriors for Life (WFL)? It is an Online Program designed to bring people together in a safe environment where they can connect with other liked-minded individuals experiencing invisible wounds, such as (PTSD) Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, (TBI) Traumatic Brain Injury, MST (Military Sexual Trauma), Trauma from accidents/disasters/transition, Depression, Anxiety, and other mental health issues, and work on the challenges they face in their day-to-day lives from the comfort of their home.

The Why! WFL was created out of love and loss by an Army Veteran after the su***de of a Vietnam Veteran on 8 December 2015, and then gifted to Victory for Veterans because VFV's mission is to provide su***de prevention and reduction for veterans and first responders. Our Vision is Where Hope, Support, and Healing come together.

The Where! WFL meets 365 days a year online through Zoom and provides different topics about invisible wounds and holistic methods to overcome challenges. Each evening, participants can join from the comfort of their home.

The How! People can join with an iPhone, Ipad, Laptop, or PC and it's very easy to connect. All of the facilitators are veterans, first responders, and civilian volunteers who have come up through the program starting out as regular participants of WFL. They know the path participants are walking and have become Peer Support Specialists and are there to welcome anyone into the Peer Group Sessions throughout the week. OUR REQUEST! Some individuals are hesitant to join our meetings because of the stigma and judgment they've faced with their invisible wounds and we want to reach those people. We are asking everyone to share who we are and what support Victory for Veterans provides via WFL. If you know someone who is a veteran, first responder or a family member/caregiver, please ask them to join us for at least one meeting so they can learn more about what we do and how they can share their wisdom with others who may be able to learn from them. It’s free and there is no specific commitment for attendance. It’s come as you are and when you can to help those who have walked the same path. Since it’s an on-line community, participants can leave their cameras off and just listen if that is more comfortable. Sometimes, that’s what people need. We have found that once people are comfortable, they will open up and share their experiences which not only helps them, but it also helps others who may think no one will understand. We understand.

We thank you in advance for being our voice and sharing our program and mission with everyone you know that can help and in turn benefit from their peers in a safe environment - the more people that are aware, the more lives we can affect and save for another day.

Volunteers for Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery will meet at the Iglesia Cristiana Monte Sinai | Mount Sinai Christian Church Parking Lot, 701 E Stan Schlueter Loop, Killeen, TX 76542 in the morning on 27 May 2024 (Memorial Day) Be there at 8:00 AM sharp. Look for the tent that is set up with the roses to get your marching orders. We will start announcements at 8:10 AM, Take a Group Picture, then start distributing the roses, and making cemetery assignments for those who do not have loved ones buried at the cemetery. If you have a loved one buried then that will be your section to place roses.

We are short rose donations this year, so if you didn't provide a donation online with Victory for Veterans, Inc 501c(3) nonprofit for the roses, then we ask that you bring at least 3-4 dozen roses with you, so we have more for everyone to place at the foot of the graves on the ground. No roses can be placed on the headstones and please don't lean them against the headstones.

We'll see you there on Memorial Day (27 May 2024) at 8:00 AM in the morning!
