Romans 8:18- "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."

Our world is groaning under the effects of sin. We see it in loss, sickness, and the brokenness all around us. But thankfully, the brokenness will not last forever. Just as the pain of childbirth gives way to the joy of new life, our present suffering will one day give way to the glory Jesus has prepared for us.

So we can face each day with hope and confidence. "Life is a gift from God, and heaven is my home." Yes we look forward to heaven, but we don't despair over this life. Instead, we cherish life and see it as a chance to point others to Jesus, the source of life. Our world is groaning in pain, but because of Jesus, we know that glory is just around the corner. Amen.

Matthew 15:22- "A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

In the account of the Canaanite woman, we meet someone who might have seemed like an outsider—someone the disciples didn’t expect Jesus to help. Yet she knew exactly where to turn. She put her confidence in God’s Word and trusted that Jesus was the Savior who had come for all people. Her faith reminds us that God’s grace isn’t reserved for people who seem to have everything together. We are all beggars before God, completely dependent on his mercy.

That’s also what gives us confidence when we face our own challenges and tests. Jesus invites us to trust his promises, and he gives us opportunities to let our faith shine. We don’t need to wonder whether there is enough of God’s grace to go around. There is! The same Savior who has graciously given us eternal life wants us to share that good news with others: “Look at what I found! Come and drink without cost! There is enough for all of us!”
