“Repent To Your Body”
•
You May Need To Reconcile The Relationship You Have With Your Body If You’ve Spoken Death Over It
We are triune beings made in the image of GOD. And many of us have been indoctrinated to hate our flesh aka our body. So we have generations of Christians who have spoken sickness, negativity, resentment, and death over their body because how they were taught to think about their flesh. Yes our fleshly desires will draw us against what our human spirit wants to do, which is the will of the Holy Spirit within us. But the Bible instructs us to be whole in our human spirit, human soul, and human body. This implies that we can live a life where our body(flesh) can be in submission to our human spirit’s desire to collaborate with Holy Spirit. This means we can be whole in our spirit, soul, and body through the deliverance and inner healing power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But many of us need to reconcile our relationship with our body. Many of us need to repent to our body for what we allowed it to go through, what we ourselves chose to put it through, what we have fed it, the lack of exercise we’ve given it, the negative words we’ve spoken over it, and/or the way we pushed it to limits that were unhealthy for it. Some of us disassociated during immense trauma where our soul checked out but our body was left there to take the abuse placed on it. It’s a safety mechanism built into us by GOD but satan knows that and uses it as a strategy to fragment and shatter our soul, splitting it into parts. This is why many of us have blanks in our memories and we are triggered in our body by certain touches, sounds, smells, environments, or situations. Our body stored the memory while our soul or parts of our soul dissociated. In order to begin the proper healing needed to be whole in our body, we will need to repent to our body for what it’s had to endure.
“Now may the GOD of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
I Thessalonians 5:23 NKJV
