In observance of Labor Day, there will be no evening activities today, Sunday, September 6.

The church and office will also be closed on Monday, September 7. Normal church and office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

We pray our church family enjoys a safe and restful Labor Day as we pause to recognize the hard work and dedication of workers throughout our community. ❤️

We are grateful to have two members of our church family, Bill Keeney and Dan Jackson, serving on a fall mission trip in Uganda!

Over the next couple of weeks, they will have the opportunity to share God’s love and serve others through the work He has called them to do. It is such a blessing to see members of our church family faithfully carrying the love of Christ beyond our community and across the world.

Please join us in praying for Bill and Dan—for God to guide and use them during their time in Uganda, for lives to be touched through their ministry, and for safe travels as they return home.

What a special Sunday in the life of First Baptist Church Killeen! As we share more photos from this memorable day, we once again welcome Pastor Sam Bunnell, his wife, Holly, and their sons, Austin and Beau, to the First Killeen family.

We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our Pastor Search Committee: Cullen Mills, Jennifer Rutledge, Casey Cochran, Stan Dickard, Trisha Ratliff, Willie Jeter, Cindy Berry, Joyce Tuggle, and Burk Roberts.

Thank you for the countless hours, days, and months you spent diligently and prayerfully seeking the person God intended to lead our church. Your faithfulness, sacrifice, and commitment to following God’s direction have been a tremendous blessing to our church family.

We celebrate this new beginning with grateful hearts, trusting that the One who guided us to this moment will continue to lead us forward.

What a good reminder we received this Sunday from our new Senior Pastor, Sam Bunnell! Philippians 1:6 reminds us that God is not finished with us yet. The work He has started in our lives, He will faithfully continue and bring to completion. No matter where you are in your journey, keep trusting Him. God is still working. He is still moving. And the best is yet to come!

Please join us in welcoming our new Senior Pastor, Sam Bunnell!

After an amazing morning of worship and a powerful message from Sam, our church voted to call him as our new Senior Pastor.

We are honored to welcome Pastor Sam, his wife, Holly, and their sons, Austin and Beau, to the First Killeen family! We look forward with great anticipation to the legacy that will continue as Pastor Sam leads our church forward into all that God is doing in our church and throughout our community.

We are excited for this next chapter and look forward to partnering together in ministry as we continue sharing the hope of the gospel.

What a wonderful start to our In View of a Call Weekend with our Senior Pastor candidate, Sam Bunnell!

It was a joy for our church family to meet Sam and his family and to hear him share his heart and vision for the future of First Baptist Church Killeen.

We look forward to hearing Sam bring the message tomorrow morning, followed by a ballot vote. As we prepare for this important moment, may we continue to pray, seek God’s guidance, and move forward in faith—trusting in what He is doing among us.
