When we first formed the "On Mission Team" to guide the Missions of Kihei Baptist Chapel, one of our primary goals as a team, was to see members of our own congregation become personally involved in bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ into peoples lives and be "on mission" for Him.
In those initial stages of forming the team, I was quite sure that we would be able to involve our congregation in local mission efforts and short term mission trips overseas, but I don't think I really took seriously the possibility that we would be sending out missionaries overseas from our own church.
That was my fault for underestimating God because that day has come. Very soon, Kihei Baptist Chapel and the On Mission Team at KBC will say goodbye to Zack & LeeAnn Bonds who have given their lives to the Ministry of the Gospel of Christ and have committed themselves as Missionaries to the island of Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianna Islands.
Your leadership at KBC and as Co-Chairs of the On Mission Team will be missed as well as your friendship, but we are also excited and proud that God has chosen to use you for His Glory. Hopefully and prayerfully, God will help us bring many teams from KBC to help you in the future and we are looking forward to seeing God use us together to change lives.
God's speed, God Bless, and we love you,
Patrick McAlister
Director of Missions
