On Sunday after service, we had a special treat. We opened the time capsule that was in the corner stone of the old church. We found quite a few items such as a German language newspaper, a handwritten constitution of our congregation, and old hymnal and a New Testament Bible. And a Kewaskum Statesman from 1913 with the "New Church" being built on the front page, among other things.
It's amazing what they put into that time capsule 113 years ago.

This last weekend we finally got to see the completed Jesus, Mary and Martha stained glass from the old Church, now behind the Altar! It looks just stunning. We still have 8 more to install. What do you think?

On Sunday July 5th we were able to see the progress on the stained glass windows. The "Jesus, Mary and Martha" window should be done this week.
Then after the service we gathered on our back patio for fellowship and GREAT food to celebrate our country's 250th birthday!

Thursday was a BIG day here at St. Lucas Ev. Lutheran Church. We began to install the stained glass forn the old church. It looks beautiful so far.

Just a reminder that this weekend (May 23rd & 24th), St Lucas will start our Summer Hours for Worship. Saturday will be the same time but there will be only one Service on Sunday at 9 am. There will be no Sunday School or Bible Class during this time.
