St Paul's Lutheran Church-Lcms

St Paul's Lutheran Church-Lcms Biblical, traditional, liturgical worship every Sunday, and usually on Wednesdays. When we hear the Gospel our hearts rejoice and are glad.

We are a Lutheran (Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod) parish of Christian people who rejoice in our salvation, and in having the Word of God among us. We sing, and our choir sings, and our liturgy expresses our unspeakable gladness in the solemn dignity that befits holy joy. The Lord Jesus Christ here lavishes us with His eternal gifts and mercy. The Master serves the servants, and this wondrous mystery delights and humbles us in His presence. We welcome you to share this joy with us.

Jesus' ordination sermon for his apostles is recorded in St. Matthew 10. A sermon on that sermon is here.

Jesus' compassion in the wilderness

Jesus said he had compassion on the multitude that followed him into the wilderness, and so does he have compassion on us in our wilderness of life. The wilderness exists because we ruined the Garden...

Holding Jesus Christ alone in your heart. Sermon for Trinity VI midweek.

Jesus wants you all to himself; he is a jealous God. The definition of faith is that Jesus alone must be worshiped as the one true God; for he alone has redeemed us by his blood. Sermon for Midweek...

Sermon from Sunday, July 8th, 2018

The righteousness of the Pharisees was outward, and is not sufficient for entrance into the kingdom of heaven, as Jesus says. Therefore a better, inward righteousness is needed. But when you think on...

NOTICE

Special Gift Received; Special Voters' Meeting Set

The congregation has received a special, substantial gift for which we need to get direction from the voters. The donor wishes to remain anonymous, and is not a member of St. Paul’s. The gift comes with no strings attached, but the donor has expressed a desire that it be used to purchase air conditioning for the church. A Special Voters’ Meeting has been called for Sunday, July 15th in the Sunday School hour to deal with the question what is to be done with the gift. Members of the congregation have on occasion indicated their willingness to support a plan to install air conditioning. Thankful hearts are appropriate for our Lord’s gracious and perpetual provision for our little parish, in answer to our continual prayers.

Easter awaits.

Demons are everywhere in Lent: with Jesus in the wilderness, in the Canaanite woman's daughter, and now, this coming Sunday, in the mute demon Jesus casts out. And then they go underground. When we...
