The heart of our church is to fulfill the Great Commission issued by Jesus to go into the world and make disciples. We want to see people accept Christ's sacrifice for their sins, but we also realize that salvation is just the beginning and that we all need each other to grow in knowledge & application of His Word. It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Don Garrison. Bro. Don is the founding pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and it has been my honor, over the past ten years, to have succeeded him in the role of pastor. Over his years of ministry, he has touched many lives and led many to CHRIST. We who continue the Gospel work, at Hillcrest, stand upon his shoulders and will continue to honor him in carrying on the work that the LORD started through him. Please join us in prayer for his wife, Glenda, and their children.

Due to illnesses and the number of people going to be out, tomorrow, I am canceling tomorrow's service. Don't forget that VBS is next Saturday, and we will resume our normal Sunday schedule, next Sunday.

Hello, folks! If you normally watch our Sunday Facebook Lives, you have noticed that they have been a little sporadic for the past few weeks. About three weeks ago, the first day that we did not broadcast, I received a phone call that my dad was having a stroke, so I had to rush away. This past Friday marked one week since his passing. That Sunday, I called in pulpit supply and did not bring my equipment to broadcast. Today, we will not broadcast as well. I would like to take the opportunity to just share, with those present, where my heart is and where we go from here. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. Lastly, I would like to express my deepest thanks to Bro. Daniel Durrett for filling in for me so well. Also, thank you for sticking with us. I anticipate that we will be back to our normal scheduling and current sermon series, next week.
