Easter tells the story of how humanity originally lost it's identity in a garden, and how in a new garden a risen Savior says someone's name and everything changes.

Finish this sentence: “The law showed me that I needed ______.”

When you get an MRI, the goal is to find out what’s really happening inside your body. It can reveal a serious issue or injury—but it can’t heal you. No one walks out of the machine and says, “I’d like ten more of those so I can get better.”

Why? Because an MRI is diagnostic, not curative. It shows what’s broken; it doesn’t fix what’s broken.

That’s exactly how Scripture describes God’s law. The law functions like a spiritual MRI—it reveals our sin, exposes what’s gone wrong in our hearts, and shows us that we cannot fix ourselves. The law shows us our need, but it cannot meet our need. It drives us to the promise of the gospel.

👉 Ask yourself: Who might God be calling you to be an extension cord for this week?

Life in the Spirit is not just about feeling close to God for ourselves. When we live connected to the true power source—Jesus—we actually become extension cords in the lives of others.

Through our encouragement, prayers, conversations, and example, people can “plug into” God through us… until they themselves say yes to Jesus and learn to walk in the Spirit.

There’s more at stake than our personal happiness or spiritual growth. God has drawn us into His kingdom purposes, and we are needed—right now—in the lives of others. We’ve been placed here “for such a time as this.”

Name one person God has used as an “extension cord” in your life—and one person you’re praying to serve in that way this week.
