I used to spend a lot of time in my head. I didn't think I was taking things too seriously-yet I was definitely worried about what other people thought of me. It is such a waste of energy. All that worry was a belief, and beliefs create. And if you believe, like I do, that we are co-creating our reality with the Divine all the time, it is no wonder I kept repeating relationships. The people looked different-the relationships did not. Since the heart generates the body's strongest electromagnetic field, measurably larger than the brain's, maybe next time your monkey mind works overtime-give it a break, drop into your heart, and breathe. Take yourself a little less seriously. You'll be happier.

OCTOBER THEME: The Law of Divine Compensation

On October 4th, we celebrate Practitioner Sunday — exploring what a Practitioner is, the power of Spiritual Mind Treatment, and our Wednesday Ministry of Prayer. It's the perfect way to prepare for our stewardship campaign, because it reminds us of the gifts we already receive — Practitioners holding the high watch every Sunday, and prayer offered for anyone who asks.

On October 11th, we launch the 2027 Stewardship Campaign with Marianne Williamson's The Law of Divine Compensation. Its premise is simple and radical — the Universe is self-correcting, always moving to restore balance wherever lack appears. Stewardship is how we cooperate with that Law. We'll look at where we've placed our faith — in fear or in Love. We'll make love the bottom line of how we work, give, and receive, and let go of the old stories that say we're not enough. And we'll clear the two biggest blocks to the flow of Good — anger and guilt — so abundance can circulate freely through our lives and our spiritual community. Come ready to pray, to give, and to expect miracles.

I love my family, and I'm sure you love yours. The thing with families - especially your family of origin - is that they were instrumental in installing those buttons. And they know exactly where every single one is. I can sit in meditation, feel the Presence, and be the very picture of peace. Then one comment at the dinner table - one look - and I'm twelve years old again. Here's the good news: a button only works if something is wired to it. Every time one gets pushed, I'm being shown exactly where I still have healing to do. That's not a problem. That's a gift - wrapped in a very familiar face. So the next time someone you love presses that old button, pause. Breathe. Know the Divine is right there in the room - in you, and in them. They aren't the obstacle to your enlightenment. They're the test. Go spend the week. Find out how enlightened you really are.

This quote made me pause. I remember when I kept harping on a situation I could never change. There is a lot of chaos in the world; that can't be denied. There is also so much good happening in the world at the same time. Each one of us gets to choose where we focus our time, our energy and our thoughts. If there is something that you can physically do to change the chaos, then do it. However, if you find yourself just reiterating stories about the chaos, STOP! Your energy matters - so focus your attention on the good that is happening in the world. Lay down your weapons - and watch the good expand and grow.
