Ohana Kids

Ohana Kids One of the cool things we do at Ohana Church is that we include our kids in the music part of worship.

Kids love music and we feel it is important for little ones to see us worship together as a family.

Every adventure has unexpected setbacks and obstacles that make
the journey harder than expected. Sunday, we heard how Paul
faced a terrifying shipwreck as a prisoner on his way to Rome, but
never stopped trusting God and sharing the good news with those
around him. His story reminds us that no matter what challenges we
face, true story—God helps us share the good news. Be on the Lookout on Friday for the next series as we start at the beginning! See you Sunday!

Mr. Grady is so thankful that he sees our future generation thrive in our Kids ministry. With an influx of kids, which is a blessing! We will be adding a new class, starting June 7th. We will be splitting the nursery into two classes. Babies (birth-2 years), Ohana Preschool (Ages 3-5). The preschool area will be in the rec room, which is behind they nuresey room. Elementary will stay in their designated area. Mr. Grady is so excited to present this to you all. Make sure your child's age and grade are up to date. You can check that information on your profile in the church center app. If it is not up to date, Mr. Grady can fix that for you. I cannot wait to give your kiddos more fun in Ohana Kids! See you Sunday!

A true adventure hero stays honest and does the right thing for the right reasons. Sunday, we saw how Ananias and Sapphira tried to make themselves look good by hiding the truth, but their dishonesty led to serious consequences. The good news is that God doesn’t expect us to be perfect, but when we choose truth, true story—God helps us be righteous.

Solving a mystery gets to the truth behind something that
seemed unclear, helping us see the bigger picture. Sunday, we
investigated how Jesus helped the disciples catch fish at the Sea
of Galilee and then gave Peter clarity about his mission to care for
God’s people. Through Jesus’ actions and words, we discover that
the Bible shows us how to share God’s love. Stay on the lookout on Friday for more True Stories.

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:5 (NLT)

Long before Jesus was born, many prophets foretold His coming. Isaiah was one of these prophets. And his words (found in the book of Isaiah in the Old Testament) use powerful imagery to convey God’s glorious redemption story. Isaiah had a lot of incredible things to say about Jesus, even before He was born. One of Isaiah’s most gripping word-picture passages is Isaiah 52:13–53:12. Earlier in the book of Isaiah, we learn of Jesus’s power and divinity (9:6-7). But here, we understand His relatable, humbling humanity. Jesus knows our pain— He was not particularly attractive, He knew suffering and sadness, and He was despised by many (53:2-3). Jesus loves us so much that He willingly took on this pain and affliction, and He suffered to the point of death on the cross. For you and me. We praise Him because through His death and resurrection He has overcome the pains and sins of this world! He offers us new life in Himself— forgiving our sins, saving us from death, and healing all our hurts (53:5).
No matter what you’re going through, you can trust that Jesus loves you, and He understands your pain to the fullest. He knows grief. He knows what it feels like to be unpopular and rejected by people. He knows abandonment. He even knows death. He didn’t have to experience these painful things, but He chose to enter into our suffering in order to heal us.
Jesus knows your pain and loves you immensely, which is why He died for you. He came to heal you from the sin and pain of this world and to bring you into a right relationship with Himself. You can always bring your pain to Him because He understands, and He cares.

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. – Colossians 3:1 (NLT)

The gospel of contains some bad news. The bad news is that no matter how good we are, we still need a savior because we are dead in our sins. There’s no way to get to heaven except through Jesus. But we’re not going to focus on bad news, instead, today we’re going to look at some good news. The good news is that when we accept Jesus as our savior by faith, God sees us differently. God sees us raised to new life in Christ. Why is this important? It shows us how powerful Jesus’ death and resurrection were. No longer does God see us as sinners, but He sees us raised up in Christ. That means that we have access to God. We can talk to God. We can know God. Being raised to new life in Jesus means that we no longer are dead in sins, but we can live life with authority and confidence, knowing that when we pray God hears us, that we aren’t worthless, but that we have value now in Christ.
There’s so many great things that come with knowing that you’ve been raised with Jesus. It helps you when you face difficulty because you know deep down that your father, God almighty is working on your behalf. He’s there to help you come out on top each time. So today, walk in your authority as a child of God. Know that you’ve been raised to new life in Christ Jesus.
