WELCOME TO KERNERSVILLE MORAVIAN, REV. DR. NEIL ROUTH!
Today, September 1, we joyfully welcome Rev. Dr. Neil Routh as our new Interim Bridge Senior Pastor at Kernersville Moravian Church!
Neil comes to KMC following his service as President of the Southern Province of the Moravian Church in North America, bringing with him many years of ministry, leadership, and service to the Church.
For more than a year, our congregation has prayed, waited, listened, and trusted God to guide us into the next chapter of ministry at KMC. We believe that Neil’s coming to Kernersville Moravian is an answer to those prayers, and we are excited to see where God will lead us together.
We invite you to join us for worship at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday and to take an opportunity over the coming weeks to introduce yourself and welcome Neil and his wife, Beverly, to the KMC family and the Kernersville community.
Please continue to surround Neil, his family, and our congregation with prayer as we begin this new season together.

We hosted the 13th annual Moravian Church Southern Province Children's Festival this past Sunday, August 16. The theme was "I AM GLAD". Approximately 100 people were here to participate in the festivities from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. We had: Moravian bun-making, a Korner's Folly display, origami star-making, star painting, a Moravian band petting zoo, a service project where participants assembled over 85 shower kits to be used by people needing showers at The Dwelling in Winston-Salem, and a huge bubble maker. The festival ended with a wonderful Lovefeast in our sanctuary with great music by our choir, band, and other talented KMC musicians. We served sugar cookies in the shape of musical notes, and bottled water. It was a fun and spirit filled afternoon! We were definitely GLAD!

Annual Fourth of July Picnic at Kernersville Moravian Church. We had a great turnout, great food, and great fellowship! The band entertained us with wonderful patriotic music and accompanied us as we sang the Moravian blessing. It was warm but not intolerably hot. It was another great KMC event!!!

Our 8-year-old and up Bible Alive VBS students became "teachers in costume" as they told the Bible stories that illustrated the theme of the week, "Faith, Hope, Love, and Charity". Monday night they told how Joseph's faith sustained and lifted him up through many troubles in his life. On Tuesday evening they learned about the paralyzed man whose friends lowered him down from the ceiling so that Jesus could heal him spiritually and physically; they had hope and it was rewarded! Wednesday evening, they acted out the story of the Prodigal son to illustrate God's unconditional love for us. Thursday evening they helped each other learn about charity from the story of the little boy who gave up his loaves and fishes for Jesus to feed the 5,000+.

We had wonderful, dedicated volunteers in the kitchen and fellowship hall all 4 nights of our Bible Alive VBS last week....

We had wonderful, dedicated volunteers in the kitchen and fellowship hall all 4 nights of our Bible Alive VBS last week. They served outstanding meals. We had tacos, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and pizzas provided courtesy of Hayworth Miller Funeral Home in Kernersville, for which was were very grateful! Many thanks to Monte Bredal and Brenda Martin for taking the lead coordinating the meals, and the many volunteers that helped them!

The grand finale to our Bible Alive Vacation Bible School last Thursday evening was everyone, children and adults, taking bags of food to our "Blessing Box". Everyone then got a pleasant surprise to see an ice cream truck; everyone got free ice cream treats! There was ice cream all over the place!

June 9th the Women's Fellowship Board hosted our annual Salad Supper for all the women of our church. We had a great turnout, outstanding salads of all varieties, great fellowship, and lots of fun and games. Lynelle Hanley created and let us in many games that strained our brains and let too lots of laughter, friendly competition, and some neat prizes being distributed. It was a great time1
