The KMC band gave a wonderful concert Sunday afternoon at the Family Shelter. The incredible talent of our band and new band director, John Walker were reaffirmed, We also learned that we got two-for-one in John, a talented musician and a stand-up comedian.. The concert was truly outstanding as was the ice cream and goodies enjoyed by all afterward.

What a glorious service we had in the Historic Chapel this past Sunday, June 7, 2026. The young people started us off with a trumpet duet prelude by the Hyde brothers, which was stunning, and a very engaging Children's moment where Paula had everyone singing. We then had the dedication of the beautiful antique baby grand piano given to the church by the family of Q. Ray Jr. & Margaret Kerner Burke. It was topped off with Q. Ray Burke III delivering a wonderful sermon to a packed house. The spirit and fellowship were palpable throughout and following the service.

It was another busy and inspiring Sunday at Kernersville Moravian Church. The Handbell Choir ushered in the service with a wonderful prelude, but saved the best for the anthem, which was remarkable! In between those gems we recognized five graduating seniors that are part of our KMC family. We also commissioned our delegates for this week's quadrennial Synod of the Southern Province of the Moravian Church in North America. Stay tuned, as the next few weeks are going to be just as jam-packed with something for everyone.

A long-time tradition at KMC was rekindled this past weekend when many of our church members gathered to make chicken pies. Our new leader for this effort, Heidi Markar, did a great job of organizing the event, and many veterans and some newbies came out to help! The fellowship was great, and so are the pies! Another Easter tradition at KMC is the "flowering of the cross". Everyone helps, and the children put the finishing touches on it this year. For the first time ever, it was taken into the church at 10:00 a. m. , and was a great addition to the service.

Families come from far and wide to place beautiful live flowers on their loved ones' graves in KMC's God's Acre. Additionally, the Women's Fellowship coordinates the placement of approximately 300 flowers for unattended graves in the graveyard. They wrap them, make bows and put on them, and put them out on Saturday morning. This is another of many wonderful ministries at KMC.
