Founded in 1983, Triad Baptist Church is a family of more than 1,400 with a mission to guide individuals toward Christ both in the Piedmont Triad area and in more than a dozen countries. From our wooded, 90 acre campus in the heart of Kernersville, we seek to honor Christ by worshiping our living God, connecting with people, serving our community, and reaching the world with the gospel of Jesus Ch

rist. Visitors and members have described us as “friendly” and “Biblically sound!"

The many ministries directed by Triad have a united purpose. Whether it be our youth and children’s ministries, including the pre K-12th grade academy; worldwide missions outreach; our ministries for moms, for those grieving, for those with cancer; our Sunday evening seminars on practical topics such as managing finances, strengthening marriages, and parenting; the Connect Groups, which offer small-group support, fellowship, and teaching; or if it is any of our other many ministries; our goal is to build stronger relationships with God through our church and to make a difference in Kernersville and beyond. Stronger lives, stronger families, and stronger communities … it’s a never-ending journey of faith.

SUNDAY SERMON PREVIEW:
Underground Warfare
Matthew 13:24-30

Jesus presents the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares to expose a highly deceptive, underground system of spiritual warfare. The enemy operates covertly under the cover of darkness, planting counterfeit tares that mimic the true wheat so perfectly that they are initially unseeable. This is not an overt assault, but a hidden infrastructure quietly embedding its roots within our daily reality.

Because this deceptive network is so deeply camouflaged, any premature human attempt to tear it down risks destroying the good wheat alongside it. The passage ultimately warns that we are up against an invisible system of deception that cannot be defeated by superficial means, but will only be exposed and dismantled by divine judgment at the final harvest.

SUNDAY SERMON PREVIEW:
The Mercy Myth
Jonah 4: 6-11

This Sunday we will finish our series on Jonah. The closing verses illustrate the profound mental blind spots and selective memory that occur when individuals become hardened by anger and self-interest.

When God provides a plant to shade Jonah, the prophet experiences great joy. However, when God quickly withers the plant, Jonah relapses into despair. This rapid shift highlights a central characteristic of a hardened heart: a complete failure to remember one's own need for mercy.

Just days after pleading for salvation inside the great fish, Jonah's sense of entitlement causes him to forget the immense grace he recently received.

Sunday Sermon Preview:
What You Don't Know Can Hurt You
Jonah 4:5-11

Jonah shows a pretty big blind spot when it comes to what actually matters, letting his own personal needs get in the way of caring about other people and their eternity. When God gives him a leafy vine to shade him from the hot sun, Jonah is thrilled, but the very next day, a worm kills the plant and Jonah gets so upset about losing his shade that he literally wants to quit and die. God uses this moment to gently call him out, pointing out how crazy it is that Jonah is mourning a short-lived plant he didn't even grow, while showing zero pity for the city of Nineveh.

Jonah was totally wrapped up in losing a temporary convenience, making him completely blind to the fate of over 120,000 people who didn't know any better. What are the blindspots in your life that cause you to miss why God planted you where He did?
