Please consider joining us for the beautiful Vigil service for the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on September 13. This feast commemorates the finding of the Cross of our Lord and the founding of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. Most importantly, it is a joyful celebration of the Cross and what Christ achieved on this Tree for our salvation.

Sunday, September 13 at 6 PM with a reception following.

Christopher has grown his parish from a small mission into a thriving community of more than 250 people. He’s also been a member of the rock band Luxury since 1991, serves on the Metropolitan Council of the Orthodox Church in America, and brings more than two decades of hands-on ministry experience—from church planting and leadership to creativity and community-building in the life of the Church.

Great article from a dear friend and clergy wife from CT reflecting on the Orthodox convert surge. This is definitely our experience here at Holy Cross. It is such a joy to see the diversity of our new inquirers and converts.

An Orthodox educator takes issue with popular notions of why people are joining Orthodox parishes in America; converts are not exclusively “Orthobros,” she says, but people seeking connection with others and with God.

This past Sunday, we said goodbye to the Waegerle family, who will be moving to PA for Reader Ben to begin his studies at Saint Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary. This is the first family we have sent to seminary from Holy Cross, and we are so excited for them. Keep them in your prayers!
