We would love to officially introduce you to our children’s home:
Iintolo Zethemba (Arrows of Hope)
“As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; So are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them…”
Psalm 127:4-5b
An arrow is carefully shaped, strengthened, and prepared before it is sent toward its purpose. In the same way, every child deserves the opportunity to be loved, nurtured, and grounded in Christ so they can fulfill the purpose God has for their life.
That is the vision behind Iintolo Zethemba, meaning “Arrows of Hope” in isiXhosa.
God has called our family to care for vulnerable children in South Africa. Along with raising our own two children, we have already welcomed four foster children into our family. The children who come into our care arrive with a few articles of clothing, physical and emotional needs, and uncertainty about the future.
At Iintolo Zethemba, those children will find more than food, clothing, and shelter—they will find a family. They will be loved, cared for, educated, discipled, and shown the life-changing hope of the Gospel. Here, they will learn that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.
We are stepping out in faith to build a home where these children can heal, grow, and prepare for the future God has planned for them. Our prayer is that every child who enters Iintolo Zethemba will one day leave as an Arrow of Hope—firmly rooted in Christ and equipped to make an eternal impact on their families, communities, and nation.
Building this home requires faithful partners. We are deeply thankful for all of the churches and individuals who have contributed towards the founding of this home. Many have asked about specific needs that are associated with the home. Whether it is a one time donation or a monthly sponsorship, every gift helps provide construction materials, beds, clothing, food, education, medical care, and the daily support these children need to thrive.
When you give, you are doing more than helping build and sustain a children’s home. You are helping transform lives, one child at a time, so that each one can be launched into the world as an Arrow of Hope for the glory of God.
