Rockford Free Will Baptist lost a very vital part of our church this weekend. Lawana was an amazing piano player and somehow an even more amazing woman of God. Our loss is heavens gain. She will be greatly missed but we will see her again. Keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.

We had some wonderful services today at Rockford Free Will Baptist. If you don’t have a home church I encourage you to come! Sunday school starts at 10 services at 11 AM. We have a night service at 5 PM. On Wednesday nights we have a midweek service at 6:30 and we eat beforehand and have a Bible study.

If you’re looking for a wonderful Church family, who will treat you as one of their own, I encourage you to give us a shot. We are growing in spirit and In number and we are excited to see what 2026 has in store for our church!n

On that holy night in Bethlehem, the world received a gift wrapped not in gold, but in humility.
A tiny pair of feet rested in a wooden manger — the feet that would one day walk dusty roads, bring healing to the broken, and ultimately be pierced for our redemption.

As the shepherds gathered in awe, heaven's light broke through the darkness to announce hope:
“For unto you is born this day… a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)

The sweetness of the manger is inseparable from the sacrifice of the cross.
The wood that held the infant Savior would one day echo in the wood that held our Redeemer.
The swaddling cloths prepared Him for His first night on earth — and foreshadowed the linen cloths of His last.

He came to save.
He came to restore.
He came to love without condition.
He came to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

As you look at this picture — the manger below and the cross above — let your heart settle on this truth:
