One of God's Way's on fire youth, Paisley Matlock, was featured on the front page of the Daily Gate City newspaper! The caption reads as follows:

"For Paisley Matlock, one of the most unforgettable moments of the week didn't happen on the podium. After sticking the trampoline routine that secured her National Championship, the 13-year-old made her way down the line high-fiving fellow competitors --a simple gesture that reflected the sportsmanship, humility and kindness her coaches and family say define
her just as much as her success."

Here at God's Way, we too want to recognize Paisley for being an exemplary student, athlete and all around good-natured young lady who loves the Lord. We are grateful to have her as a part of our church family. Congratulations, Paisley! Keep God first and we have no doubt that you will continue to do amazing things!🙏🏾🎊

TOPIC: PRAYERS FOR YOUTHS

Text: 1 Peter 5:5-9 says: "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

PRAYERS

1 Father, I thank You for the youths around us. Thank You for making them strong, creative, and innovative. I am grateful for Your abundant grace towards them.

2 Father, please open the eyes of our youths' understanding. Cause them to know the hope of their calling and Your great power that is at work in their lives, in Jesus Christ name.

3 Lord, please keep the youths on the right path. Guide them with Your eyes and keep them from taking wrong turns and making wrong decisions, in Jesus Christ name.

4 Father, please teach the youths to watch their mouths and guard their hearts. May they not ensnare themselves with the thoughts of their hearts and the words of their mouths in any way, in Jesus Christ name.

5 Father, please teach the youths to honour You with their time, gifts, and positions. Help them see that every good and perfect gift they possess comes from You, in Jesus Christ name.

6 Lord, please teach the youths how to trust completely in You. Teach them not to lean on their own understanding but acknowledge You in all their ways, in Jesus Christ name.

7 Father, please bless the youths with good success. Hear their cries for help and meet them at the point of their needs, in Jesus Christ name.

8 Father, please open great doors of opportunities for the youths, and help them to be adequately prepared when they come, in Jesus Christ name.

9 Father, please let the mind that was in Christ Jesus be in all our youths and flood their paths with light, in Jesus Christ name.

10 Lord, please cause every backslidden Christian youth to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd again and return home. Draw them back to You with Your loving kindness and mercy, in Jesus Christ name.

11 Father, please strengthen the youths so they can withstand the devil's temptations. May they not be entangled in the devil's web of addictions and immorality, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, a big Amen.
