Hello Bible folk! I pray all is well with each of you and your loved ones.
If you find yourself worrying, as I do from time to time, please take time to read Matthew 6:25-34. Though this scriptural passage focuses on our physical needs (food, drink, clothes), we can worry about many different aspects of our lives. But we are encouraged to seek the things of God first and he will give us everything we need. God knows everything we need before we ask! Thank you Jesus! I leave you with this prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for your Son Jesus Christ, who gave his life so that we can freely come to you with all of our worries. Heavenly Father, today we come to you, and we give to you all of those things that we worry about; those things that sometimes cause us to forget how much you love and care for us. Forgive us for not putting our faith and trust in you to provide our every need. Thank you, Father God, for the gift of the Holy Spirit who empowers us to walk by faith and not by sight each day. Right now, we cast all of our cares on you because you care for us (I Peter 5:7). In times of trouble, disappointment, worry, and anxiety, we pray that you will let us experience your peace, a peace that surpasseth all understanding. We give you all the honor and the glory. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
May God bless you and keep you.
In Christ,
Rev. Dorothy Jenkins
