One cannot help but notice the name Christ in the word Christmas. It is a stark reminder of why many people, whether Christian or not, are inspired to spread love to others, especially those who are less fortunate. Thank you Lord that Jesus Christ is behind it all!

Having a relationship with God is all about experiencing His love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, blessings…the fullness of who he is. Let us not take for him for granted. Indeed he is worthy of our unconditional worship, praise, and love just for who he is!

Hello Bible folk!

I pray all is well with each of you and your loved ones!

Even as I strive to walk more closely with God, I want to encourage all of us, as children of God, to take time to reflect on how we have experienced our heavenly Father since He claimed us as His own. What steps can we take to experience even more of who He is and the many blessings He desires to give us? In what ways was God trying to get your attention, but you were too busy to notice? How was the Holy Spirit working to transform and renew your heart and mind in ways that would be pleasing to God?

Each and every day is an opportunity to connect with God—whether through prayer, singing, studying His Word, reading or hearing His Word, meditating on it, or simply thinking about His goodness and all He has brought us through. We know there are things that could not or would not have been possible except by the grace of God.

As Christians, we reap the many blessings of serving and worshiping our mighty God in spirit and in truth.
In Jeremiah 29:13, God says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” It is by drawing nearer to Him each day that we truly experience the blessings of serving our faithful God. How will you or what will you do to draw closer to him moving forward?

In Christ,
Rev. DJ

God is great and greatly to be praised! What better way to praise him than by giving him thanks each day for all that he has done and does for us. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for he is good!

Self-Reflection can be rightfully included to our spiritual practices. It affirms that Christians care about their lifestyle and relationship with God. It is a way to build up our faith and trust the work of the Holy Spirit within and through us.

Scripture provides great insight into what faith looks like through God and people. We experience the faithfulness of God each day and that is why we praise and worship him.

Our faith in God begins with the belief that he does exist. From time to time, we as Christians should contemplate on what it means to have faith. We can use it often and believe we have the faith that truly pleases God. Just as God is real, let us truly trust in him in every area of our lives on ea...

It is ok to encourage ourselves in the Lord; especially in times of trouble. Scripture provides the comfort, strength, and peace we need in times of trouble. Intentional study and meditation if Scripture can never be optional in the Christian life.

Hello Bible folk! I pray all is well with each of you and your loved ones.

If you find yourself worrying, as I do from time to time, please take time to read Matthew 6:25-34. Though this scriptural passage focuses on our physical needs (food, drink, clothes), we can worry about many different aspects of our lives. But we are encouraged to seek the things of God first and he will give us everything we need. God knows everything we need before we ask! Thank you Jesus! I leave you with this prayer:

Dear Lord, thank you for your Son Jesus Christ, who gave his life so that we can freely come to you with all of our worries. Heavenly Father, today we come to you, and we give to you all of those things that we worry about; those things that sometimes cause us to forget how much you love and care for us. Forgive us for not putting our faith and trust in you to provide our every need. Thank you, Father God, for the gift of the Holy Spirit who empowers us to walk by faith and not by sight each day. Right now, we cast all of our cares on you because you care for us (I Peter 5:7). In times of trouble, disappointment, worry, and anxiety, we pray that you will let us experience your peace, a peace that surpasseth all understanding. We give you all the honor and the glory. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

May God bless you and keep you.

In Christ,

Rev. Dorothy Jenkins

We all tend to worry. But God’s word in Matthew 6:25-34 reminds us that God provides our every need. He wants us to seek Him above all else. Let’s purpose in our hearts to pray more and worry less.

Complaining seems to be a normal part of life but it does not please God. It does take effort to not complain by meditating on God’s word, taking our worries and concerns to God in prayer, and following the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who empowers Christians to live out this thing called Love. We can live in ways that are pleasing to God. We have only but to take advantage of our access to the Holy Spirit.
