𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐲, 𝐓𝐨𝐨

Sometimes, 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 is not a sign of 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, it is 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦.

Jesus walked away from people who only wanted miracles but not transformation.
He walked away from crowds that misunderstood His mission.
He even walked away when people rejected His message.

𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲. They are just simply refusing to stay where God is no longer calling them to be.

𝐈𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞.

There are battles to fight, but there are also battles to leave behind.

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

Lord, silence the what-ifs that spin in my mind, the endless scenarios, the catastrophic possibilities, the fears that multiply faster than I can counter them.

What-if thinking steals my peace, robs me of today's joy, and keeps me trapped in futures that will likely never happen.

Teach me to recognize when my mind starts spiraling into what-ifs and to interrupt that pattern by anchoring myself in what is true right now.

The what-ifs are loud and convincing, painting vivid pictures of disaster, but they're not prophecies, they're anxieties masquerading as preparation.

Help me replace what-if with what is, trading speculation for present reality, fear for faith, imagined disasters for current blessings I'm missing while I worry.

Remind me that You have given me a spirit not of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind, and that sound mind rejects the tyranny of what-if thinking.

Give me the discipline to take every anxious thought captive, to speak truth over fear, to silence the what-ifs with the promises of who You are and what You've done.

Let my mind be still today, quieted from the noise of what-ifs, fixed instead on You, trusting that whatever comes, You'll be there, and that's enough.

Father, I come to You with the loose ends of my day and the frayed edges of my heart.

Often, I feel like a tangle of knots, pulling at the strings of my own life, trying to fix what looks broken or messy. I confess my need to control the pattern, Lord, but I only end up more weary.

I release the thread into your hands. You are the Master Weaver, the only one who knows how to turn my mistakes and my waiting into a masterpiece. Even when the underside of the tapestry looks confusing to me, I trust that You are stitching together a story of grace. Mend the parts of me that feel worn thin and remind me that I am held by Your steady, loving hand.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb." - Psalm 139:13

Father, I’m sitting here in the quiet, watching the days move by on the calendar, and if I’m honest, my heart is restless. I want to rush ahead, to see the end of this season, to finally hold the promise I’ve been praying for. But Lord, I know my timing isn’t Yours. I feel the weight of the pause, the heavy silence of the "not yet." Help me to find peace in this stillness. Strip away my need for control and my fear of being forgotten. I surrender my schedule to Your sovereignty. Let me trust that even when nothing seems to be moving, you are working deeply within me. Teach me how to wait well, not with anxiety, but with a heart anchored in Your goodness.

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
