Brother Darrell L. Ehlers 1935-2024
Brother Darrell passed away Saturday April 13, 2024 due to multiple organ failures. He was a Knight for 28 years and was a PGK of Kent Council serving twice in 2001-2002 and 2005-2006. He was also a PFN of Fr. John J. Daly Assembly 2960 at Holy Spirit Parish.
Eternal rest grant unto Brother Darrell, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Kent Council held our inaugural Coats for Kids event on Sunday November 5, 2023 and it was a rousing success! We distributed 129 coats to kids in need who will stay warm this winter.

Kent Council held a Fall Food Drive on Sunday October 22, 2023 to benefit the parish Food Pantry and the Kent Food Bank. Thanks to the parishioners of Holy Spirit Parish for their generous donations.

Kent Council held a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday Sept 18 at Holy Spirit Parish Hall and parishioners were eager to partake. It was the first fundraising event of the new fraternal year and patrons were nearly back to pre-pandemic level.
The next Pancake Breakfast event is Sunday Oct 9.

Kent Council assisted the brothers of Father John J. Daly Assembly of Kent at the 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Auburn Golf Course on Friday Sept 9. 2022. The event picked up from 2019 after a 2-year shutdown due to the SARS-CoV2 coronavirus. The event was a success with 18 teams of golfers participating. Money raised will go to local charitable organizations and fraternal activities.

Kent Council kicked off the new Fraternal Year with a Burger and Corn Feed event on Saturday Sept 3, 2022 at Holy Spirit Parish. This annual event is free to parishioners as an appreciation for their past support and an introduction to the upcoming fundraising season.

Brother Clyde A. Schendzielos 1952-2022

Brother Clyde passed away Tuesday August 2, 2022 after losing his battle with liver cancer. Clyde was a long time Kent Council Treasurer before giving up the post due to the advanced stage of his cancer.

Eternal rest grant unto Brother Clyde, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

After a 2 year hiatus due to the Novel Coronavirus shutdown Kent Council is back in business! On March 18, 2022 the council held our first Lenten Friday Fish Fry of the season. Thanks to all the volunteers and generous Holy Spirit parishioners the event was a resounding success! It was our best opening Fish Fry event in many years dating to before the shutdown.
The Lenten Friday Fish Fry will continue 3/25, 4/1 and 4/8.

Kent Council held a Thanksgiving Food Drive on Sunday morning Nov 14 at Holy Spirit Parish and thanks to the generosity of parishioners we collected 1709 pounds of food and $568 cash donations. Donations were delivered to the downtown Kent Food Bank Tuesday morning in time to stock their pantry for Thanksgiving. Several members were on hand to help unload. Brother Zigmond (Zig) Staszak 1944-2021
Brother Zig passed away on Sept 21, 2021 after suffering a heart attack a couple of days earlier.
Zig was a Knight for 18 years and remained a member of Kent Council even after moving to Shelton, WA after retirement.
Eternal rest grant unto Brother Zig, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
