Notice how a boat doesn't crash into the rocks all at once; it quietly drifts off course when the anchor isn't set. In Hebrews 2:1, we are given a vital warning: We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. Spiritual drifting is almost always subtle. It does not happen in a sudden storm, but rather in the quiet, busy currents of daily life where Bible reading, prayer, and deep reflection slowly slip from our priorities. Staying anchored in God's Word requires intentionality, especially when life gets hectic. How do you intentionally keep yourself anchored in Scripture during busy weeks? Let us pray: Heavenly Father, guard our hearts against the subtle currents of distraction. Help us to hold fast to Your truth and remain deeply anchored in Your Word every single day. Amen.
