Guard Rails “Relationships”
5 - Day Devotional

DAY 5 — RUN LIKE JOSEPH, NOT LIKE SAMSON

Scripture:
Genesis 39:12 (KJV)
“…and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.”

Devotional Thought:
Two men faced temptation:
• Joseph ran → and preserved his future
• Samson stayed → and lost everything

The difference wasn’t strength…

👉 It was guardrails.

Joseph didn’t negotiate—he ran.
Samson didn’t set boundaries—he lingered.

👉 You don’t overcome temptation by willpower…
You overcome it by distance.

Daily Application:
Ask yourself:
• Where am I lingering when I should be leaving?
• What situation am I tolerating that I should run from?

👉 Take action today:
• Delete the number
• Block the access
• Remove the trigger

Do not manage temptation—remove it.

5 - Day Devotional

DAY 4 — GUARDRAILS WITH THE OPPOSITE S*X

Scripture:
1 Corinthians 6:18 (KJV)
“Flee fornication…”

Devotional Thought:
Notice the word: Flee.

Not:
• Manage it
• Control it
• See how close you can get

👉 Run.

God is not trying to limit your life—
He is trying to protect your future.

S*x is not just physical—it is:
• Emotional
• Spiritual
• Deeply binding

Without guardrails, “one thing leads to another.”

👉 What you allow casually today can cost you dearly tomorrow.

Daily Application:
Put up a clear guardrail today:
• If single: Set boundaries in dating, media, and environments
• If married: Protect your marriage with transparency and distance from temptation

👉 Ask:
“Is there anything in my life I would have to hide from my spouse or future spouse?”

If yes—remove it today.
