Today and every day, we remember those who lost their lives during the attacks of September 11, 2001.

I was in the 5th grade, watching the news in North Carolina, when I witnessed the planes crash directly into the World Trade Center. It is a moment I will never forget.

In the days following that tragedy, something remarkable happened. People came together. Unity grew, church attendance increased, and many people began calling on God and turning their hearts back to Him.

For the individuals who lost their lives that day, everything changed in a matter of moments. They didn’t have the opportunity to change what was happening or prepare for what was coming.

That is a reminder to all of us: always be ready to meet the Lord. Love your family. Love your friends. Love the people God has placed around you. Don’t take tomorrow for granted, because none of us are promised another day.

Today, we remember the lives that were lost, the families that were changed forever, and the courage and unity that followed.

Never forget. 🇺🇸

Jesus loves us!! He has no desire to harm, but to rescue. He knows us and our weaknesses, but still shows us compassion and grace to recover. He is the chief shepherd and leaves the 99 for one. What a mighty God we serve 🙌🙌
