Willowdale Chapel Family Promise Volunteers

Hello!

Good morning Willowdaleians,

I hope you are all finding ways to stay cool in this heat! In these extreme temperatures I am reminded again of how fortunate I am to have a place to call home to be able to escape the dangerous elements. As a church, we have the opportunity to continue to serve families in our community through Family Promise, providing safe shelter, meals, and company for a week.

We are still in need of a significant number of volunteers starting this Sunday, 7/31/16. Please look at the list & sign up! Here is a general look at what we still need:

Set-up on 7/31 (4)
Tear-down on 8/7 (4)
Laundry (1)
$50 donations for meals (6)
Dinner fellowship (7)
Overnight (3)

As a reminder, Dinner Fellowship & Overnight volunteers are the only ones that need training & clearances... if you haven't completed those yet, you can still sign up for other spots!

Good Morning!

Another beautiful and hot summer day here in Chester County~

Sipping my tea on my back porch, I think about the guests we have had over the past months at Willowdale. So many wonderful families, amazing stories and the selflessness of our loving volunteers! This time around, we have heard that about half of the guests are children.... How blessed we are to be able to serve them during times of need!

The Willowdale Family Promise team is working to support our guests who will be arriving in a few short weeks. We need your help to fill in the gaps! If you have already signed up, we sincerely thank you! If you are considering signing up we still have slots available - join our guests for dinner & fellowship, contribute by donating money towards meals, or help with set-up or take- down.
