A PRAYER FOR WHEN THINGS SEEM TO BE FALLING APART

Psalm 46: 2…So we need not fear, even if the world blows up and the mountains crumble into the sea.

PRAYER - This is a prayer that was written several years ago by one of the Bible study groups at Olive Branch Ministries of Greater New Orleans. It is based on Psalm 46. I hope you will be encouraged by reading it.
“Lord, when my world falls apart, help me to remember that You are my refuge and a very present help in trouble.
“When I am filled with anxiety and turmoil help me to stand still and hear You and receive Your help.
“Heal those places in me that have been broken by the things of this world and give me Your peace that passes all understanding.”

WHEN I AM AFRAID

Psalm 56: 3…When I am afraid, I put my trust in You Lord.
*
COMMENT - Feeling afraid at times is normal. However, we can choose to actively place our trust in God instead of letting fear control us.
*
PRAYER - Lord, calm our fear and help us to gain strength, peace and courage as we trust You.

A REFUGE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE

Psalm 57: 1…Have mercy on me O God. I look to You for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of Your wings until the danger passes by.

PRAYER - Thank You Lord for being our refuge when we face crisis and trouble. Comfort us with Your love and strength.

WHEN THINGS LOOK DARK

Psalm 23:4…Even though I go through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff comfort me.
*
PRAYER - Lord, sometimes our valleys may be dark and scary, but we will fear no evil because we know You are with us. You protect us and comfort us.
