Our weekly schedule i as follows:

Parents' "Family Foundations" Class - 7:00 p.m. Thursday
Bible Study - 7:00 p.m. Our doctrinal statement is as follows:
•We believe the Bible is

the inerrant, preserved, inspired Word of God.
•We believe God exists in three distinct yet equal persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
•We believe God spoke the universe and everything in it into existence in six literal, 24-hour days as we know them today about 6,000 years ago.
•We believe Jesus is the Son of God and is God. He is both 100% God and 100% man.
•We believe Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for man’s sin. Three days later He rose bodily from the grave, victorious over death. Forty days later He ascended bodily back into Heaven and promised to return again in like manner.
•We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin and regenerates the one who comes to God in faith. He baptizes, indwells, and seals all Believers at the moment of salvation.
•We believe angels are created beings. They are God’s messengers and help carry out His work.
•We believe man was created in God’s image. Adam’s sin marred that image, and everyone now receives that fallen nature at the moment of conception.
•We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone. No amount of good works can save anyone.
•We believe the church is the world-wide body of all those who are saved. The local church is a specific group of Believers in a specific area.
•We believe in the imminent, pre-millennial, pre-tribulation rapture of the church. Following this will be the Tribulation on earth, the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven, the Second Coming of Christ, the Battle of Armageddon, the Millennial Reign of Christ, and the Great White Throne Judgment.

Have you ever considered your life and wondered if anyone notices? Have you ever considered your life and wondered if it matters to anyone? That's not an uncommon thought, but the answer to both of those questions is "Yes." Psalm 1:6 says, "For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish." God knows the way of the righteous. God knows every detail of your life. He notices every good thing you do. He hears every encouraging word you say. He sees every effort you make to change your world for the better. Even in the times when you seem invisible and unappreciated, God sees your good work and appreciates every single good thing you do. God knows your way. Keep doing good things. You'll be glad you did!

Have you ever had the unfortunate experience of meeting and interacting with a know-it-all? It's not a good experience. Job met one. He ended his speaking in Job 31:40. His three "friends" gave up trying to convince Job of his sins. So Elihu saw his opportunity to say something. He spoke nonstop from Chapter 32-37. He was much younger than the others. He said in 34:34, "Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me." This is not to say that young people don't know anything, but his know-it-all attitude was certainly coming through in that statement. It was so bad that when he finally finished, no one even responded. That didn't have to be you. It's ok to have an opinion and some wisdom and experience to share, but don't go down the road of thinking you know everything and can't learn anything. The fact is you don't know it all. Stay humble and be willing to learn. You'll be glad you did!

Do you ever take time to learn from nature? You should. God gave us nature and explained it for us so we can learn from it. Read Job 28. Job was talking about all the different precious stones and metals that can be found in the ground. Then he made the point that God knows where they all are. Then he said that wisdom is far more valuable than the other things and posed the question of its origin. His answer is found in verse 23: "God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof." He knows where it came from and where to find it. It is found in fearing God and departing from evil (v. 28). Nature teaches us very valuable lessons. Look to the things that God made. They tell us about the One Who made them. There is so much to learn. Keep learning every day. You'll be glad you did!

Have you ever thought, "I hope that is never said about me?" What was it? Here's an example of something you would never want to be said about you. Job continued his debate with his friends. At first they came to comfort him, at least that's what Job thought. They quickly began accusing him of all kinds of sinful things, none of which were true. He finally asked them this question in 26:2, "How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?" In other words, they hadn't done either of those things. They hadn't helped or strengthened anyone who was weak. What a horrible thing to be said about you! However, you can make it so that would never be true of you. In our world you don't have to look far to find someone who is hurting and just needing a friend to give a little strength and encouragement. Help someone today. You'll be glad you did!

Are you able just to let God be God, or do you feel like you have to manipulate everything and have a logical explanation for everything? Job had no logical explanation for the situation of his life, nor was he able to manipulate it in any way in his favor. He had only one option: let God be God. Job said in 13:15, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him..." Even if God thought it best to end Job's life on earth, Job would trust that whatever God chose to do was best. That's not even easy to say, and it is undoubtedly extremely difficult to do. When the events of our lives don't make any kind of sense, our only option is to trust God that He knows what He is doing and that He is doing the right thing. If that is where you find yourself today, take comfort that you are not alone. Job couldn't figure it out, but he still trusted. If Job could trust God, we should be able to also. Trust God and let Him be God. You'll be glad you did!

Have you ever been in a spot in your life when you had all the questions and all the answers at the same time, but you still had no clue what was going on or what to do next? That basically summarized Job's life. In Chapter 10, he said he had many questions for God. In verse 4 he asked, "Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?" Job wanted to know if God saw what was happening in his life. Zophar said his foolishness in Chapter 11. Then Job corrected Zophar and praised God's wisdom in Chapter 12. This all just shows that Job was human, and so are we. It is not often that every detail of our lives comes through with perfect clarity. Even when Job didn't know exactly what was happening or why, he clung tightly to what He knew to be true about God. If your life is unclear, hold to what you know about God. Even a hen life falls apart, God doesn't. Stay convinced of His goodness. You'll be glad you did!

"Why?" That is perhaps the most commonly asked question. That one-word question is requesting a reason. There was a man named Job who experienced tremendous grief like few other people have ever experienced. He sat in silence for seven days after the tragedies. Then he began to speak in Chapter 3. Five times he asked the question "Why?". He was looking for a reason that all of these tragedies came on him. He was looking for the reason for his very existence. If you're asking the same question today, you're not alone. People everywhere want to know why things happen and why they even exist. What you do after you ask that question is extremely important. God ministered to Job after his "friends" decided to be quiet. God helped him, and God is willing to help you too. If you have many "why" questions, ask God and then wait for the answer. God wants to help, so be quiet, listen, and let Him help. You'll be glad you did!
