Our Lady of Sorrows
September invites us to turn our hearts to Our Lady of Sorrows, whose feast we celebrate on September 15. Mary knew profound suffering, yet through it all she remained faithful to God and close to her Son. At the foot of the Cross, she stood beside Jesus in His suffering, loving Him to the very end. Her example reminds us that faith does not always take away sorrow. Instead, faith gives us the strength to remain, to trust, and to continue loving even when life is difficult.

Walking with Mary
Our Lady of Sorrows reminds us that we never suffer alone.
This September, we are invited not only to bring our own sorrows to Mary, but also to notice the suffering of those around us. A phone call, a prayer, a visit, or a simple act of kindness can become a beautiful sign of Christ’s compassion.

The Beauty of Autumn
As the colours of autumn begin to surround us, may we make time for prayer, gratitude, and one another. May this new season renew our faith and remind us that even through times of change and difficulty, God remains close.

May Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, lead us ever closer to Jesus and teach us to meet suffering with faith, compassion, and hope.

Prayer to Our Lady of Seven Sorrows

O Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows,
you knew the pain of watching your beloved Son suffer,
yet you remained faithful, trusting in God even when your heart
was pierced with grief.
Stay close to us in the sorrows and struggles of our own lives.
When we are burdened by loss, disappointment, loneliness, fear, or uncertainty, help us remember that we are never alone.
Teach us to stand with courage at the foot of the Cross,
to trust when we do not understand, and to believe that God can bring hope even from our deepest suffering.
Our Lady of Sorrows, walk with us through every difficult season of life.
Strengthen our faith, deepen our hope,
and teach us to love as faithfully as you loved.
Lead us always closer to Jesus,
and help us place every sorrow, every fear, and every need
into His loving hands.

Welcome!
We welcome all visitors to St. Paul’s Parish. We hope that you will experience our love for God and neighbor. If you are new to our community, we are grateful to the Lord for your presence. Come for a visit!
Mass is offered at 5:00pm on Saturdays, 10:00am and 5:00pm on Sundays. We have organizations for men (Holy Name), for women (Sodality), and for both (St. Paul’s Seniors).
Plenty of ways to participate in our ministries: ushers, lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, greeters, music…
And because we are part of a 5-Parish Family, there are so many other opportunities to gather, to get involved, or to simply worship.

The Holy Name presence made our “Welcome Sunday Gathering” such a wonderful experience! The hotdogs, potato salad and all the energy they brought made the morning spectacular! Thank you, Holy Name!
We welcomed 12 new parishioners, gave four prayer shawls to families in need of prayer, and enjoyed the conversations with so many fellow parishioners. 🙏♥️ A huge amount of gratitude goes to Mary Elizabeth Vallée for organizing the event and sending postcard invitations to our new parishioners. And THANK YOU to Donna Barker for all the preparation work, Pat Pike for the information table, Joan and Kate Foley for providing the prayer shawls, and all who brought in delicious pastries. What a team!
