WHY AM I LOOKING AT HER?

Last night at Ezer Women’s Ministry, we talked about something so many of us wrestle with: comparison.

Through the stories of Rachel & Leah and Mary & Martha, we were reminded that comparison shifts our eyes from what God is doing in us to what we think God is doing in her.

Rachel looked at Leah. Leah looked at Rachel. Martha looked at Mary. And underneath each story was the same question: “Why does she have what I want?”

But God is inviting us to ask a different question: What if I stopped looking at her long enough to see what God is doing in me?

Comparison can distract, distort, disqualify, create discontentment, competition, and even resentment. We can become so focused on someone else’s blessing that we forget to thank God for the blessings He has placed in our own story.

And just like Leah, sometimes our circumstances don’t immediately change but our perspective can. We don’t have to become another woman to become who God created us to be.

So this week, when comparison creeps in: Recognize it. Redirect it. Replace it.

Instead of asking, “Why her?” ask: “Lord, what are You doing in me?”
We are not behind.
We are not forgotten.
We are not disqualified.
We are His and He is still writing our story.

Last week, we talked about Identity, knowing who we are in Christ. Tonight, we’re taking the next step and diving into Comparison.

Because when we don’t understand who God created us to be, it’s easy to look around and measure our lives against someone else’s.
✨ Her calling isn’t your calling.
✨ Her journey isn’t your journey.
✨ Her timing isn’t your timing.
✨ And her life was never meant to be your measuring stick.

Tonight, we’re going to uncover what Scripture says about comparison, why it steals our joy, and how we can learn to celebrate who God created US to be.

Come ready to grow, be challenged, and see yourself through God’s eyes not someone else’s.

Don’t miss it! Bring a friend and let’s dive in together! 💕

This week, we stepped into Exodus 2:4–8 and learned about a young girl who simply watched the basket but her watching became part of God’s plan.

✨ She watched when others couldn’t.
✨ She spoke when the opportunity came.
✨ Her willingness became part of God’s provision.

She couldn’t control what would happen to Moses. She couldn’t change the circumstances or know how the story would end. But she stayed present, watched faithfully, and used her voice when the moment came.

And what a reminder for us as Ezer women: intercession isn’t always standing in front of someone praying over them. Sometimes intercession looks like watching, encouraging, protecting, speaking up, and stepping in at the right moment.

There may be a “Moses” in your life right now a child, husband, friend, sister, or someone who simply needs someone watching over them.

You may not be able to fix their situation.
You may not be able to change their circumstances.
You may not know how the story will end.
But you can WATCH. PRAY. SPEAK. ENCOURAGE. PROTECT. INTERCEDE. 🙏

💜 Sometimes the woman who is simply willing to stand by the river and watch is exactly the woman God uses to change someone’s story.

What an incredible night of learning, reflection, and being reminded that our willingness matters to God.

Ezer Women, Keep praying. Keep standing in the gap. God can use your obedience in ways you may never see. 🌿

And finally… to every woman who said YES to the Ezer Women’s Retreat, this is for YOU. 💕

Thank you for stepping out, showing up, and allowing God to meet you right where you were. Your yes created space for healing, growth, breakthrough, and transformation.

You came with expectation, and you leaned in, and because of that, God moved. 🌿

We pray that what was poured into you continues to grow, that every seed planted takes root, and that you walk boldly in who God has called you to be as an Ezer.

This was not just a weekend… this was the beginning of something greater. 💛 We love you, we honor you, and we are so grateful you said YES.
