Rich and I are so thankful for the friendships and support that we have received over the last almost 4 years as we helped transition the Friendship Mission from one leadership team to another.
We are so blessed to have made great friends, visited dozens of wonderful churches and ministries in the area and made life-long friendships with so many of you that came here to help. We have been so proud of our men who skillfully cared for the needs of those that could not help themselves with firewood, snow removal, and free tree removal services.
We have countless, boundless stories of God’s goodness, His grace, His mercy, His peace, His provision, and our renewed hope in all that God’s people can accomplish together.
Thank you to each person that donated over the years to the mission; the mission has been able to and will continue to give out food, clothing, jackets, gloves, hats, socks, and the occasional sleeping bags to those that stop by for help. Under the new leadership at the Mission, this tradition will continue!
We hope that you all continue to reach out and support the new leadership here, I believe they are excited about what God is doing in Kenai and what God can still accomplish here at the Mission that started 18 years ago. Please join Rich and I in congratulating them as they take over!
Rich and I will be leaving on sabbatical on January 7 to North Carolina, visiting some mission opportunities and seeking direction for our next chapter. We appreciate your prayers as we venture out of Alaska.
