New Bethel Church A Federated Congregation (ELCA and UCC) in Kempton, PA Welcome to New Bethel Church, Kempton Pennsylvania. In 1993 New Bethel began a shared ministry church.

Since 1761, people joined together in our Lord’s name to worship in this place. We have been called together to proclaim his love among each other and to the whole creation. As a Federated church, we are both UCC and Lutheran. We worship on Sunday morning using a liturgy that combines the Lutheran and UCC traditions. The adult choir sings every Sunday, supplemented on occasion by the Sunday scho

ol choir or solo performers. New Bethel offers Sunday school classes for nursery age children through adult. There are two youth groups, ULTRAS for youth from 5th to 8th grade, and Crosswalk for High school youth. Adult Bible studies, discussions and book studies are regularly scheduled. New Bethel Church also hosts the Women of New Bethel, NBC Quilters. and our new Praise Jams after Sunday School twice a month. We enjoy frequent covered dish suppers and lemonade socials organized by our Fellowship Committee. Annual events for all ages include the Kempton Cup Miniature Golf Tournament, the Volunteer of the Year Dinner, and Family Game Night. Our Sunday school sponsors a service project that collects needed items at Christmas time for such organizations as Friend Incorporated. Our being and strength is grounded in Christ’s love and forgiveness. In faith, we are bound to one another and to our Lord, Jesus Christ. Dessert donations for Bethelfest can be dropped off at the church on Thursday evening between 5:30 and 7 PM, or between 3:30 and 5 PM on Friday.

Join us July 20th to the 22nd, from 6:30 pm to 8:15 pm, as we learn about "Joseph and the coat of many colors" by singing songs, playing fun games, being creative with crafts, enjoying entertaining story time, and eating yummy food.

Children of all ages are welcome. We do ask that toddlers under the age of 2 be accompanied by a parent or guardian each evening.
