In Loving Memory of Christopher Becker.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, grandfather, and friend, Chris Becker, who passed away peacefully at his home in Keller, Texas on April 14, 2024. Even after being diagnosed with cancer for 6 years, Chris endured all the struggles and challenges that came with it, with valiant perseverance. He was a beacon of love, faith, and kindness to all who knew him, and his presence will forever be etched in our hearts.
Chris was born on April 13, 1966 in Oklahoma City to Roxanne and Norman Becker. Throughout his life, he exemplified the virtues of compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family and his faith.
Chris pursued a fulfilling career to provide for his family. He dedicated himself to his work and loved what he did. He was proud of the work he accomplished in his career from art directing the Curious George books to owning his design company for over 20 years. He was always a strong advocate for working hard and doing things right, and he took pride in making things look professional. Chris found solace and joy in his passions and hobbies, whether it was singing in a quartet, creating artwork, enjoying sci-fi movies, or, especially, spending time with his family.
As a husband, Chris shared a bond of love and mutual respect with his wife of 23 years, Amber Becker. Together, they weathered life's challenges and celebrated its joys, forming a partnership built on love, trust, and companionship that served as an inspiration to their children and all who knew them. Chris loved his wife unconditionally and was her other half.
As a father, Chris was a pillar of strength and guidance. He provided love, support, and encouragement to his children, Izaak, Madeline, Lindsey and Jazmyn. He instilled in them the values of integrity, perseverance, hard work, and the importance of faith, shaping them into the remarkable individuals they are today. Chris loved being “Papa” to his grandson Alexander. He showered affection, wisdom, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of his children and grandchild. He was so proud of them.
Chris’s unwavering faith in God and love of the Savior was the cornerstone of his life. He found solace, strength, and purpose in his devotion to his faith. His love for God radiated through his every action and interaction. From serving his fellow-man, leading in the Church, to serving in the temple. His devotion was exemplary. He prioritized serving everyone in his life.
Chris’s presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us in the years ahead. Though he may no longer walk beside us physically, his spirit still holds us dearly.
A celebration of Chris’s life will be held on Saturday, April 20, in Keller, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Becker Family Memorial Fund, in honor of Chris. Details can be found at: https://gofund.me/34b8b87f.
