As one year ends and we look to begin a brand new year, I am grateful for all the love, support and leadership shown by everyone in the ministry we share. As I reflect on the year that we are saying goodbye to I want to give praise to our Lord for walking with us through the many dark valleys and celebrating with us when we reached the moutaintops. For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven (Ecc 3:1). This is something I want us all to remember as we look to begin, what will be for many, a new season.

This new year will bring with it new opportunities, new blessings, and new horizons, but it will also bring new challenges, new obstacles and new temptations. Let us not lose heart that the things that we wish to accomplish do not happen straight away. And let our faith not waiver if the things that we wanted yesterday did not happen for us today. But let us be reminded that the Prince of Peace has already been given to us. Let us not forget that doing the will of Jesus will give us rest and when death overshadows us, let us find strength in the fact that Jesus has already vanquished death and all its powers.

The new year holds many unknowns but our hope is in the One who sits on the heavenly throne. That is enough, it will always be enough. Soon our Savior will return and our struggles will cease but until then let us embrace every season for what it is. For we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose (Rom 8:28). Stay faithful and trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I pray that this new year brings you joy and prosperity, but above all the peace that can only be found in Christ. God bless you all.
