Matthew 7:1 says, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged"

How it's misused: 😖
Often used as a defense shield to shut down accountability, essentially

meaning: "You have no right to tell me my actions are wrong."

The Context: In the very next verses, Jesus warns against hypocrisy (taking the log out of your own eye first) so that you can see clearly to help your brother remove the speck from his eye. Scripture commands believers to use the right discernment and hold one another accountable in love, but warns that the same standard we judge others by will be applied to us.

It’s easy to walk into Sunday focused on minor details like room temperature, sound volume, or sermon length. But this image challenges us to check our hearts: Are we more upset by temporary discomforts, or are our hearts truly broken for the empty pews, empty prayer rooms, and empty altars?
As a church family, we are called to prioritize people over preferences, deep relationships over perfect performance, and God’s mission over our own comfort. Let's gather tomorrow with a hunger for the Word and open hearts ready to welcome anyone searching for hope.
See you tomorrow, church family! Let’s leave the consumer mindset at the door and show up ready to seek Him together.

Let’s talk about a rule we all agree on on game day. 🏈👇

In football, nothing ruins a drive or changes the momentum of a game faster than cheating. Whether it’s holding, a false start, or a blatant pass interference—when a player breaks the rules to get ahead, the yellow flags fly, penalties are called, and trust is broken on the field. Nobody likes a cheater in the game.

But when we step out of the stadium and look at the playbook of our own personal lives, a much heavier rule comes up: **"Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery."**

In a culture that casually laughs off flirts, hidden phone apps, or "harmless" boundary crossings, it is incredibly easy to treat our sacred commitments like they are empty. We convince ourselves that as long as nobody gets caught, a little corner-cutting in our relationships or our thoughts won't hurt.

But cheating isn't just about getting caught; it’s a slow leak of deceit that fractures trust, breaks covenants, and turns our focus away from the pure love God intended for us.

But here is the play-call we want you to hear: **If you realize you’ve been cutting corners, hiding secrets, or breaking trust in your life, you are still welcome here.**

365 Church isn't a locker room reserved for perfect players who execute a flawless game plan every single week. We are a community of imperfect people learning how to drop our heavy masks, step out of the shadows, and find out what it means to build deep relationships rooted in real truth and grace.

Pull up a chair with us this Sunday morning. Let's work on getting back on the right team together.

When we see the words "Thou Shalt Not Murder," most of us immediately pass right by it. 🛑👇

We think, "Well, I’ve never killed anyone, so I’m totally good on this one." We relegate murder to a distant news headline, an old-west history book, or true crime documentaries. We check the box and assume our hands are clean.

But when Jesus took the pulpit in Matthew 5, He completely shifted the playbook on this commandment.

He looked at the crowd and basically said: *You have heard it said that you shall not murder, but I tell you that if you harbor deep bitterness, nursing anger, or look at someone with utter hatred in your heart, you have already broken it.*

Suddenly, the playing field is leveled.

Murder isn't just a physical action; it starts as a spiritual posture. It is a slow leak in our hearts where we strip away a person's dignity, let resentment run wild, or completely lose our reverence for the sacred life God created. Under that definition, if we are being completely honest, every single one of us has broken this standard in our thoughts.

But here is the play-call we want you to hear: **If your heart has been heavy with anger, bitterness, or broken relationships lately, you are still welcome here.**

365 Church isn't a locker room for perfect players who execute a flawless game plan every single day. We are a greenhouse for the broken. We gather to drop our heavy masks, face our real inner struggles, and learn together how to let God heal our hearts from the inside out.

Pull up a chair with us this Sunday morning. Leave the performance behind and let's find a better way forward together.

Think about the coaches who have shaped your life. 🏈👇

Whether it's out on the local field under the Friday night lights or up in the professional ranks, we all know what makes a great player: respect for the coach. A good player listens when the coach speaks, honors the playbook they were given, and respects the position, even on the days they don't agree with the play-call.

But when we step off the field and look at the playbook of our own families, a much tougher standard comes up: **How are we doing at honoring our mother and father?**

In the middle of a busy football season—when our calendars are packed and our weekends are full of noise—family relationships often get pushed to the sidelines. Or worse, old wounds, disagreements, and messy histories cause us to bench our parents entirely, treating the commandment to honor them like it's completely empty.

But honoring your parents isn't a suggestion for when times are easy. It’s a foundational commandment. It doesn't mean your family has to be flawless, and it doesn't mean you have to agree with every choice they've ever made. It means choosing to treat them with respect, extending grace when they fall short, and recognizing the weight of the position God placed them in.

If you look at your family dynamics right now and realize there are strained relationships, unspoken words, or priorities that are completely out of alignment, here is the truth: **You belong at 365 Church.**

We aren't a community of families with perfect track records. We are just a group of imperfect people learning how to navigate real relationships, drop the performance, and find out what it means to love our families the way God intended.

Pull up a chair with us this Sunday morning. Let's work on realigning our hearts together.

Let’s be honest about what our weekends look like right now. 🏈👇

Between Friday night lights, Saturday college games, and Sunday NFL kickoffs, football season completely takes over the calendar. We plan our meals, our social gatherings, and our entire weekend routines around a 4-quarter clock.

But in the middle of all the noise, tailgating, and screen time, it is incredibly easy to completely lose track of the Sabbath.

We tend to treat Sunday as just another day to consume entertainment, catch up on yard work, or run errands before the Monday morning grind starts all over again. We treat holy rest like it’s an empty concept, or worse, just "mandatory catch-up time" for our busy lives.

But the Sabbath isn't just a day off; it’s a sacred boundary given by God to honor Him and refresh our souls.

When our schedules are so packed with sports and entertainment that we have no room left to pause, rest, and worship, we aren't keeping the Sabbath holy—we're just running ourselves into the ground.

But here is the truth we want you to hear: **If you look at your weekend calendar and realize you've been putting the game or your busy routine before God, you are still welcome here.**

We don't gather on Sundays because we have our priorities perfectly balanced. We gather because our lives get hectic, our hearts get distracted, and we need to learn together how to take a breath and put God back at the center.

Leave the performance behind, pull up a chair, and let’s learn how to find real rest together.
