You guys might’ve noticed that we’ve been a little quiet on here the last week or two, that is because we were preparing and leading District older Adult Camp, which wrapped up last Thursday! We’ll share more this week about DOAC, but to start off check out this fantastic article about this new Camp.

Our friends over at Camp Mack are looking for a new Executive Director, please prayerfully consider and share it with your community!

Dear Camp Mack Friends,

Greetings from your Indiana Camp Board in the midst of our joyful and faith-filled summer camp season! Camp Alexander Mack continues to be a sanctuary of holy hospitality where all people are welcomed to connect with God, experience creation, and build Christian community.

As many of you are aware, we are saying goodbye to our faithful Executive Director (ED), Gene Hollenberg. After ten years, Gene’s retirement begins on January 1, 2027. The Indiana Camp Board (ICB) and Camp Mack have spent the past five years laying the groundwork for this moment, and we are well positioned for a smooth and successful transition.

The ICB Search Committee, chaired by our ICB Board Chair, Travis Hartman, and comprised of five other board members, has met frequently over the past two months. The time has come to ask for your help!

Although we are marketing this position through a variety of media outlets, your partnership with us is vital. Have you seen our NEW website at www.campmack.org? The position description and application materials will be available there beginning July 24, with applications accepted through September 12.

Please share this information with anyone in your network who might be interested in the position or might know someone interested in the position. Any inquiries regarding this process should be sent to [email protected], the email account monitored by the search committee.

As the summer draws to a close, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the group of individuals who made everything possible this summer. From guiding campers through new challenges on the ropes course, keeping them safe at the pool, and helping them build new skills across various activities, each staff member brought their own valuable skills to the team.

Thank you 2026, summer staff- we cannot wait to see what Summer 2027 brings!

Thankful for this amazing group that we had the pleasure of sharing the week with! We shared every adventure with Camp Ithiel Camp Carmel & Camp Placid Camp Alexander Mack and Camp Mardela ! Until next year, Mountain Adventure Camp!

On Thursday, our Mountain Adventure crew hiked to the top of Hawksbill Peak, and had incredible 360 views all around! We had lunch and enjoyed bible study at the peak.

On Wednesday, our Mountain Adventure crew had an amazing time rafting on the Watauga River! We had the best time with Edge of the World and even got to do reruns on the famous Anaconda Class 3 rapid! These pictures perfectly encapsulate the fun and laughter we had!
