While tens of thousands of faithful Catholics will join the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, only a few young adults will make the full journey from St. Augustine to Philadelphia. They are called Perpetual Pilgrims. This dedicated group will travel with the Blessed Sacrament full-time for the whole pilgrimage route.

Marcel Ferrer is from Akron, Ohio and currently a sophomore at Franciscan University in Steubenville where he is pursuing a degree in Marketing with a double minor in Theology and Music Ministry. He grew up Catholic, but fell away from the faith during adolescence. In his junior year of high school, he had a reversion back to the faith through a powerful experience with our Lord during Eucharistic Adoration. Since then, he has pursued intimacy with Jesus at every moment. Marcel has a passion for working with youth ministry and helps lead confirmation retreats across the Midwest. In his free time, you can find him playing guitar, going to concerts, or watching a good movie. Marcel is excited to travel with Jesus and encounter people this summer. He hopes that his witness allows the Lord to draw people closer to his Sacred Heart.

Keene is honored to be a featured stop during this pilgrimage on June 20th from 12:30PM - 5:30PM - St. Bernard Church, Keene NH

Before there was a nation, there was an altar. Now, 461 years after the first Catholic missionaries landed in St. Augustine, pilgrims once again carry Christ into the heart of America.

Nelly had the honor of crowning Mary earlier this month. May Crowning is a special tradition that reminds us of Mary’s love, grace, and guidance in our lives.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us. 💐🌺🌼

Meet Cheyenne Johnson 📷

While tens of thousands of faithful Catholics will join the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, only a few young adults will make the full journey from St. Augustine to Philadelphia. They are called Perpetual Pilgrims. This dedicated group will travel with the Blessed Sacrament full-time for the whole pilgrimage route.

Cheyenne Johnson is originally from Florida but now calls Indiana home. She is a proud graduate of Butler University where she studied Music, Elementary Education, and Chinese. She is currently serving as a missionary in New Jersey, where she gets to encounter the love of Christ in serving the materially poor every day. In her free time, she loves playing the flute, crocheting, and searching for the best ice cream. Cheyenne served as a pilgrim on the 2025 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. Returning as the team lead for this year, she is excited to walk alongside others and witness how our Eucharistic Lord desires to continue encountering his people. Being a convert to the Catholic faith, she knows the power of encountering Jesus in the Eucharist.
