Calvary United Methodist Church is a small Church located in the middle of a residential street in Kearny NJ. It was founded over 125 years ago by a group of Swedish people living in the area. Their faith and commitment to helping others, and spreading the word of God is enormous. They take pride in providing the families and children living in the Newark/Irvington projects with clothing food and

backpacks with school supplies through a non-United Methodist church in Irvington. They also supply Stop & Shop gift cards to the Food Banks of several nearby towns because of their affiliation with Food for Friends ran by Stop & Shop in Lyndhurst NJ. They open the church doors to all and strive to be sure that whoever comes thru those doors feel they are part of their church family. They also host their annual food pantry every 3rd Sunday of the month. A hot meal to go also served. Invite your family and friends ! We hope see to see you soon!
