Statement of Faith:
Hello and welcome to the WePray page! WePray is an organization dedicated to uplifting individuals in our communities with prayer to the Triune God (God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit) the God that created the world in 6 days and rested on the seventh. (Genesis)
We believe that after the creation of the world and humans (Adam and Eve) the human race turned away from God's eternal love to fall into sin, death, and the power of the devil. Since then there has been a broken relationship with humans and the Triune God and a broken connection between all humans, which leads to all sorts of suffering, pain, and evil. By ourselves, with no support we believe that we are dead in our trespasses and sin. Yet, we believe that God has not abandoned his creation and provided a promise that gives us great hope. (Romans 6) For he says in the bible (the inspired Word of God) to us, his creation...
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16
We believe that God, through the Israelites of old, sent his Son Jesus Christ into our broken world. We believe Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, was baptized into our sins (Matthew 3), taking them all upon his back to the cross, suffering and dieing at the hands of his own people being crucified and buried. But, We believe that Jesus rose from the dead victorious, conquering sin death and the power of the devil opening to us the freedom of eternal life and steadfast love with him. (Mark 16) He has assended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the throne of God, reigning as the true king of life. (Acts 1-11)
We believe that God has given his creation the Words of the prophets, the testimony of Jesus' disciples and the Words of Jesus that we might believe in our creator.
The Triune God now sends His Holy Spirit to foster and grow faith in Jesus Christ as the savior of the world, in all those who might believe. We as Christians believe that he has given us this Holy Spirit that we might Glorify our creators name and show steadfast love to our neighbors. We call out to God to strengthen us in times of suffering, enliven us in times of Hopelessness, and most of all to fully Redeem us by His true forgiveness of our faults. For Jesus died and rose for us.
At WePray, we hope to uplift the individuals in our community to this Triune God, encouraging all people, engaging in positive conversations about our community and it's individuals, supporting existing organizations with prayer, volunteering at community events, loving our neighbor and our neighborhoods, praying for each other, bringing joy to our community, and witnessing to death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
